The appendix is located in the lower right side portion of your abdomen. It is shaped like a small finger and is attached to your large intestine. Mild fever, nausea, vomiting, and tenseness in the muscles of the right side of the abdomen are observed. Ginger and Turmeric

To prepare buttermilk, add a glass of water to 2-3 tablespoons of yogurt and bled it well. You can also add a pinch of salt for taste.


Vegetable Juices

Vegetable juices are very helpful in treating appendix pain, and you can consume juices of various kinds for this purpose. A mixture of beetroot and cucumber juice is very cooling for your stomach and helps to remove toxins from your system, which are the very cause of appendix pain and inflammation in most cases.

Carrot juice is also very beneficial for you, if you are suffering from appendix pain. You can also mix all above juices and get their best health benefit.


Fenugreek Seeds

Intestinal waste and excessive mucus formation can result in inflammation and pus formation in the appendix, and subsequently cause pain due to appendicitis. Fenugreek seeds help prevent the build up of mucus and pus, thus reducing and preventing appendix pain effectively as a natural treatment.

To prepare a tea from fenugreek seeds, boil a litre of water and add 2-3 tablespoons of fenugreek seeds to it. Simmer for at least fifteen minutes, then strain and have a glass of the cooled tea 3-4 times a day regularly.

Many herbs are useful as an effective natural treatment for appendix pain. Gotu kola is one such Chinese herb that helps to heal the inflamed appendix and repairs the damaged tissues.

Dandelion is another herb that is useful in the treatment of appendix pain as it is a natural antioxidant. Agrimony tea can also be consumed regularly as it helps in the treatment of appendicitis, and reduces pain due to an inflamed appendix.

The acupuncture point for appendix is located on your right leg, and is called Lanweixue in Chinese which means appendix point.

It can be found 5 inches below your knee joint. A tenderness in this point indicates blockage in the appendix. However, since the appendix can rupture, it is best to follow up with your doctor if the symptoms worsen.


Avoid Constipation

Constipation can worsen the symptoms of appendicitis and the appendix pain. Therefore, it is necessary to avoid constipation by drinking lots of fresh fruits and vegetable juices. Spicy foods should be avoided as they can worsen the inflammation. Have soups and other soft foods that can be easily digested.

Avoid eating meat, processed foods and grains for a month at least. Certain yoga exercises such as, vajrasana, pranayama and sukhasana, are helpful in eliminating toxins from your system and improving digestion. These should be done regularly in order to prevent appendicitis.

It’s important to take good best rest while you are suffering from appendix pain. Try to rest as much as possible as it is very essential in the treatment of appendix pain and appendicitis. As you recover, have a diet rich in fibre and natural foods that will help prevent another recurrence.
