Aloe Vera’s anti-inflammatory properties helps remove dead skin cells from wounds and fortifies new skin cells. It, thus promotes quick healing. Apply the aloe vera directly to the scar wound. Leave it for some time and wash with water. Regular application will help the fading of the scar.
Lemons contain a chemical called, alpha hydroxy acids or AHA’s. These helps in exfoliating the dead skin cells and helps the growth of new cells. Also since it is a natural bleach, it helps lighten scars. Squeeze the lemon juice and soak a cotton ball in it. Apply it on the scar. Leave it for 20 minutes and apply regularly.
This is the most effective and quick home remedy in case of a burn scar. The curd helps in naturally lightening the scar. Take lemon, yogurt and turmeric in equal proportions and mix them to obtain a paste. Apply it on the scar.
This is also known as ‘multani mitti’ and it is a type of clay that contains various minerals. It helps reduce the appearance of wound scars, minor burn marks or any other kind of scars, quite well. Mix fuller’s earth, rosewater and lemon juice to make a thick paste. Apply this mixture to the scar. Leave it for some time and wash with water. Apply over the scar regularly to see fading of scars.
Cocoa butter is a natural moisturizer that can moisturize the deep layers of skin it is also rich in vitamin E and this aids in the regeneration of healthy tissue. Massage the scar with cocoa butter directly in circular motions for 15-20 minutes regularly.
