20 Cures To Acne Scars

Share

Acne often leaves its scars behind. However, if acne gets treated at an early stage, it is less likely to form scars. Though there are many cosmetic creams available to remove acne scars, not all of them are completely reliable.

Many of them can cause irritation and leave your skin dry. The natural remedies, on the other hand, are much safer and guarantee better and faster results. Following are some of the proven ways to remove acne scars naturally.

Natural Cure For Acne Scars

Baking Soda

Baking soda is a natural cleanser. Prepare a thick paste by mixing a small amount of baking soda with water. Apply this paste gently over acne scars using a clean cotton ball. For optimum results, apply the paste in a circular motion. Do it for ten to fifteen minutes. After that, wash your face with warm water.

Organic Milk And Ground Nutmeg

Apply 2-3 tbsp. of organic milk to your face. Do it at night, an hour before you sleep. When the face is completely wet with organic milk, apply some ground nutmeg all over the skin. Due to the wetness of milk, nutmeg will stick to your face. Leave it for 45-60 minutes. Dust off loose nutmegs using your fingers. Leave rest of the application as it is and go to sleep. Wash your face the next morning.

Oatmeal Mask

Prepare a natural face mask by mixing yogurt, oatmeal and a few drops of lemon juice together. Apply it to the affected areas and leave it for half an hour. After that, rinse it off using cold water.

Fuller’s Earth With Rose Water

Mix rose water and fuller’s earth in 2:1 ratio. Apply it with a clean cotton ball gently to the areas affected with acne scars. If you have oily skin, you can apply it on your entire face. Besides reducing acne scars, it will also clean your skin pores.

Fenugreek Paste

You can prepare a herbal paste for acne scars by grinding dried fenugreek leaves with water. Alternatively, you can mix two tbsp. of fenugreek seeds in boiling water. Simmer it for 10 minutes. Apply it on the affected areas when the mixture cools down.

Lavender Oil

Rubbing lavender oil directly on the acne scars can also be very beneficial. Do it at least two times daily, once in the morning after you have taken your bath and once at night right before sleeping.

Rosehip Seed Oil

Rub rosehip seed oil gently on the skin areas affected with acne scars. Do it three times daily for faster results. Besides removing acne scars, this herbal remedy also regenerates your skin, reduces wrinkles and gives your face a fresh glow.

Honey

Apply a mask of honey on your face and leave it for twenty minutes. Then, wash your face with cold water. For faster results, you are also advised to consume honey orally. You can mix two teaspoons of honey in a glass of water and drink the resulting mixture at least two times daily. It will not only help in removal of acne scars, but will also make your skin healthier and glowing.

Olive Oil

Massage the affected areas on your skin lightly with olive oil. Do it at least two times daily regularly for a week to get rid of acne scars. As an added benefit, this simple natural remedy also makes your skin smoother.

Lime Juice

Squeeze the juice of a lemon or lime in a clear glass. Apply the fresh juice gently over acne scars. Due to the natural bleaching properties of lime juice, this remedy works very fast. If applied at least 2 times daily, the acne marks will become less visible within 2-3 days. As added benefits, it also regenerates new skin cells and removes dead cells.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Soak a clean cotton ball in apple cider vinegar and rub it lightly on acne scars. Use this remedy three times daily for best results.

Sage And Aloe Vera

Pour a cup of hot water over sage herbs. When it cools down, apply the soaked sage on acne scars. Leave it for 10 minutes. Now, apply Aloe Vera gel directly to the same areas. Leave it for another 10 minutes. Then, wash your face with lukewarm water.

Turmeric

Prepare a thick turmeric paste by mixing turmeric powder in water. Apply this paste to acne scars. Besides reducing the size and appearance of scars, application of turmeric paste also gives you glowing skin.

Egg Whites

Soak a cotton ball in egg whites ad apply it thoroughly on acne scars. Use this remedy at bedtime. Leave the application overnight. The next morning, wash your face with cold water and a mild soap. The acne scars will almost disappear within just 3-4 days.

Cucumber

Cucumber can be used in two ways to remove acne scars naturally. First, you can drink one glass of cucumber juice two times a day. Besides removing acne scars, this remedy also improves the texture of your skin.

Second, you can rub acne scars gently with cucumber slices for five minutes, two times daily. Wash your face after that.

Tomato Slices

Rubbing tomato slices on the affected areas can also be very beneficial in reducing the appearance of scars.

Sandalwood Paste

Prepare a sandalwood paste by mixing sandal with rose water. Apply the paste gently all over your face. Do it at bedtime before sleeping. The next morning, wash your face using a mild soap. Practice this remedy regularly for a week and you will get rid of acne scars. It also makes your skin healthier, smoother and more beautiful.

Tea Tree Oil

Massaging acne scars with tea tree oil can also be very effective in lightening the appearance of scars. Besides removing scars, this remedy also prevents further outbreaks of acne.

Ice Cubes

A very quick yet temporary natural remedy is to rub ice cubes on the entire face. It tightens skin pores that eventually make the scars less visible.

Almond Oil

If you are having acne scars with lumpy skin, you can reduce its appearance quite significantly by rubbing almond oil gently over it. Do it 3-4 times daily, including once at bedtime.

You are advised to stick to a particular remedy and practice it regularly for a few days. It is safer and guarantees faster results. Do not try lots of remedies at a time. Even if they are all natural products, they can interfere with each other and cause adverse effects, such as irritation on skin.
