Many people have started drinking green tea due to it’s various health benefits. Green tea is as good for your face as it is for your body. The benefits of green tea are not hidden from anyone and so you would see it as a part of various beauty products. But it is always good to use it directly instead of using it as an ingredient of some beauty product, since we are never sure how good or bad are the chemicals of the product. So, it is always better to use home remedies which include the regular materials available in your kitchen. At least they won’t harm you and undoubtedly, original products bring out better results.

Here Are Some Benefits Of Using Green Tea On Face.

1. Younger Skin:

If you think that your skin looks way too older, you can try using green tea. Green tea is an astringent, it would help in contracting your skin. It would help in tightening the loose skin, making it look younger. You can make a green tea face mask by using some of the ingredients available in your kitchen.

Ingredients:

1 Tablespoon Green Tea Powder
1 Teaspoon Honey
5 Teaspoons Yogurt

Method:

Mix the above ingredients together to form a fine mixture. Apply the mask all over your face and neck and let it dry for 20 – 30 minutes. You can then wash it off with warm water. The honey and yogurt used in the mask will nourish your skin. You can use the face mask once in a week.

2. Puffy Eyes:

You might have noticed swelling around your eyes when you wake up in the morning. Puffy eyes are usually caused when fluid builds up around our eyes. This fluid causes swelling. You can get rid of the eye bags by using green tea. It is an astringent, so it helps in contracting the swollen skin. This would reduce the puffiness around your eyes.

Ingredients:

Green Tea Bags
Water

Method:

Boil a cup of water and add two tea bags to it. After sufficient brewing, take off the water pan and strain it in a cup. If you are a fan of green tea, you can sip it. Else you can apply it on your face for added benefits. For puffy eyes, you would need the used tea bags. Put the tea bags in fridge. After around 15-20 minutes, take them out and place them on your eyes. Let the tea bags work for at least 15 minutes and you will see the difference.

3. Acne:

Acnes are caused when oil and dead skin get trapped in skin pores. If you are a victim of acnes, you can try using green tea. The astringent properties of green tea will help in shrinking the skin pores. So, they would not be able to trap dirt. Also, green tea is an anti-oxidant. It will destroy all the free radicals, giving your skin a healthier look.

Ingredients:

Green Tea Bags
2 teaspoons Honey
Water

Method:

Boil a cup of water and add green tea bags to it. Let the water take up the benefits of the green tea. After the tea is made, strain it in a cup.Take 4-5 tablespoons of the green tea and add 2 teaspoons of honey to it. Apply the mixture all over your face. The green tea would fight against acne and the honey would keep your skin moisturised.

4. Sunburn:

We usually end up with sunburns in summers. Whatever you apply before going out in sun, there is some impact that you cannot escape. If you are a victim of sunburns, you can use green tea. Some of the ingredients of green tea, such as tannic acid, polyphenols and theobromine help in soothing sunburns.

Ingredients:

Green Tea Leaves
Water
Cloth

Method:

Prepare green tea by adding tea leaves to boiling water. Since you dont have to drink it, you can make it a little strong. Once the tea is made, strain it and put it to freeze. After the tea is frozen, you will get green tea ice cubes. Place them in a piece of cloth and rub it on the affected areas. It will help in cooling your skin.

5. Skin Rejuvination:

Green tea is a rich source of anti-oxidants. It will make your skin look healthier, smoother and fresher. If your face looks dull or tired, you can wash it with some green tea to give it a fresher look.

Green Tea Leaves
Water

Method:

Put some green tea leaves in boiling water and let the tea infuse. After the tea is made, strain it in a cup. Dip a cotton ball in the green tea and apply it all over your face. Let the tea work for 10 minutes after which you can wash it with warm water. Apply moisturiser as required. You will feel the freshness in your skin.

Try using some of these home remedies and your skin will look better and healthier. Green tea is very beneficial to drink as well. You can drink it once a day and use the leftovers on your face.
