It is also known to suppress growth of microorganisms on the skin. Yogurt contains lactic acid that helps in breaking down the dead skin cells.
Ingredients:
One tablespoon of powdered green tea
One teaspoon of honey
Five teaspoons of plain yogurt
Method:
Mix all the ingredients and evenly spread the mixture on your face. Leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.
2. Green Tea Toner:
Green tea is an excellent toner for the skin. It helps refresh the skin especially during the hot and humid summer months when the skin tends to become greasy.
Ingredients:
Two teaspoons of green tea leaves or one to two green tea bags
½ cup boiling water
Method:
Place the tea bags or the tea leaves in a bowl and pour the boiling water. Steep for two to three minutes and strain out the tea leaves. Let the tea cool to room temperature. With a cotton ball dab the cool green tea on your face.
3. Green Tea with Almonds and Milk:
Instead of using a soap-based facial cleanser, use a mixture of green tea, ground almonds and milk to remove the dirt and grime from your face.
Ingredients:
One green tea bag
One teaspoon ground almonds
One teaspoon milk powder
One teaspoon grape seed oil
One cup boiling water
Method:
Brew a cup of green tea. Allow the tea to cool. Mix the almond powder, milk powder and grape seed oil with the green tea. Wet your face and rub the mixture on your face. Rinse off with cool water.
4. Green Tea And Apple Cider Vinegar:
Apple cider vinegar is known for its beauty uses. It helps restore the natural pH of the skin and reduces excessive oiliness of the skin. Apple cider vinegar and green tea are mixed together and used as a toner.

½ cup green tea
Two tablespoons of raw apple cider vinegar
Five drops of tea tree oil

One green tea bag
Two tablespoons of sour cream
One egg yolk
One teaspoon of olive oil
One teaspoon of honey
¼ cup water
Method:
Boil the green tea bag in the water until the water reduces down to one tablespoon. Refrigerate the green tea for about 15 minutes. Beat the egg yolk and add the green tea, sour cream, olive oil and honey and blend for about a minute. Spread the mixture on clean face and leave it on for 15 minutes. Rinse off the mask with warm water.
