Some of us are born with natural pink color of the lips but due to passage of time the lips lose their pinkness due to many reasons; hormonal changes, overuse of lipsticks and tinted lip balms, pigmentation due to over-exposure to sun, smoking, use of certain medication and drug abuse.

Most women try to hide the real color of their lips under thick layers of lipsticks but secretly want natural pink lips. Using all natural herbs can help lighten the color of the lips but you will have to be very regular with the treatment.

Rose Petals

Presence of certain enzymes in the rose are responsible for its color; this beautiful pink color can be the color of your lips too if you use paste of red rose petals over your lips regularly. Prepare the paste by crushing the petals of one rose flower with mortar and pestle.

Spread the paset evenly over the lips and use the remaining paste within the same day. Apply the paste twice a day to instantly brighten up the color of your lips. The volatile oils in the petals will make your lips soft and smooth.


Beetroot Juice

In ancient times women would use the beetroot juice for instantly coloring their lips. Applying the juice of beetroot is one of the best ways of instantly giving your lips a bright pink color.

The juice works well to lighten lip pigmentation as well. Cut a small piece of beetroot and crush it well; apply the juice of the crushed beet root on your lips. Re-apply the juice every four hours and within a week you will notice the color of your lips changing to a soft pink.


Coconut Oil

Coconut oil will not color your lips pink like rose petals and beetroot juice do but regular use of the oil on your lips will lighten their color considerably by getting rid of the pigmentation.

Apply warm coconut oil on the lips every three hours; do this treatment for a week to lighten the lip color and to bring out the natural pink color of the lips. Coconut oil will also give you smooth and soft lips.


Lemon Juice

Lemon juice has natural vitamin C and citric acid and both help in lightening of the skin color. Therefore, this is an ideal choice for lightening the color of the lips to a nice shade of pink. Squeeze juice of lemon and apply the freshly squeezed juice on the lips; this may sting a bit so you can add two drops of olive oil.

The citric acid in lemon will exfoliate the lips, especially if they are dry and chapped, while vitamin C will lighten their color. Apply fresh lemon juice every two hours and continue the treatment for 10 days.


Rose Hip Essential Oil

Rose hip essential oil is a rich source of vitamin C that is one of the major ingredients in skin lightening products. Mix two drops rose hip essential oil with one drop olive oil. Rub the oil mix on the lips every three hours, not only will your lips turn pink with regular application but they will also be soft and smooth.
