5 Top Natural Remedies That Remove Dark Elbows

Generally, people pay their attention on their skin and do many things to make it smooth and glowing, but they forget to pay attention to their elbows. This is a common problem that is faced by many people and leaves them self-conscious about selecting their clothes. The skin of elbow is basically thicker and has many folds. It also not contains any oil glands and dry in nature, so it looks much darker and dried in comparison to the other body skin when proper hygiene and care is not maintained. The factors which are responsible for dark elbow are over exposed to the sun, dry skin, rubbing, hormonal imbalance, development of dead skin, increase in melanin pigment and some genetic factors.

There Are Some Home Remedies Available To Solve This Problem. They Are As Follows:

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is good for lightening the dark elbows. Coconut oil contains good fatty acids and Vitamin E that moisturize skin, lighten the skin color, and lowers the skin dryness and increase shine in the skin. The lauric acid present in coconut oil also inhibits bacteria formation in the skin because of its antifungal and antibacterial properties. Coconut oil can also repair damaged and dry skin. Regularly use coconut oil after taking bath and rub it on the whole body, including elbows for getting good results.

Honey

Honey is commonly available product in every kitchen and it is good for lightening the dark elbows. Honey has the best antimicrobial and antioxidants properties which are very good for the dry skin. Honey revitalizes skin by moisturizing the dry skin and kill the bacteria’s which are in the air and harm the skin. Honey absorbs the moisture from the air and keeps skin moisturized and fresh. Honey is a natural humectants that hydrates skin and locks its moisture. Honey is a rich medium of iron, zinc, sulfur and vitamin B that improves skin growth.

Lemon

Lemon is known for its natural bleaching and exfoliating properties. Lemon is a rich source of vitamin C that helps to keep lighten skin color and removes dead skin cells. Lemon is also enhances the production of healthy skin cells. Apply lemon once in a week on elbows keeps their color lighten but avoid exposure of sun for at least 3 hours.

Sugar

Homemade sugar scrub is ideal for lightening the skin color of elbows. Sugar granules help to soften the skin and remove dead skin cells. Sugar scrub is a great product to smooth the rough and dry skin. The sugar granules work on the mechanism of scrubbing and exfoliating. It is very simple to use, only simply apply the sugar scrub on the rough patches of the skin such as knees, elbows and feet. Generally, it is not recommended to use a sugar scrub on the face.

Baking Soda

Baking soda is a best cleansing agent and effective on rough skin such as elbows. Baking soda reduces hyper pigmentation and removes dead skin cells. Baking soda is an excellent ingredient for neutralizing smells and also helpful in treating fungal infections of the elbows. Mix baking soda with warm water and apply it on elbows for at least 10 minutes. This mixture removes dead cells, contaminants and gives relaxation to sore tissues. To increase its healing and relaxing nature, essential oils such as Tea tree oil or lavender oil can add into the mixture.
