3. Bitter Gourd

 

This remedy is pretty bad on your tongue but can prove to be great for controlling the diabetes and also an upset stomach. Bitter gourd is cooked in meals in some countries, however raw bitter gourd is recommended where the use is medicinal. Take bitter gourd and grind it with half a glass of water.

Strain this juice properly and consume on empty stomach. This juice exhibits anti-hyper glycemic activity which increases the tolerance for glucose and also controls its levels in the body. However, the bitterness makes it very difficult to gulp down so alternatively just dry roast it on a straddle and eat like chips.


4. Holy Basil

Holy basil is an ancient remedy to control diabetes. Take some leaves of this plant and chew them down. You may even take a bunch and prepare a basil infused tea with them.

6. Syzygium

Syzygium is a black fruit with purple insides. This fruit is considered beneficial for diabetics. But actually it is the seed of this plant that provides the maximum benefit against the high glucose in the body.

Take dried seeds of this fruit and grind it. Consume 2 spoons before taking your meal with some water. Do this at least twice in a day and the rate of rise in your blood sugar after your meals will definitely see a dip.


7. Diet Modifications

Natural sugar found in fruits and vegetables is much easily digested than the refined and processed ones. Avoid adding additional sugar in your juices or fruits. limit your fat intake especially the saturated ones.
