Holy Basil (Tulsi)

The holy basil is used as a herbal remedy in India to cure many ailments. The basil leaves have many wonderful properties. It serves as an effective nerve tonic and promotes the removal of phlegm in the bronchial tube.

The leaves can be chewed on as the juice is helpful in reducing stress in the nervous system.It is, therefore, very effective in soothing the nerves of an agitated person with a nose bleed. You can also extract the juice of a few basil leaves and put two drops in each nostril. This stops the bleeding in the nose.


Green Coriander (Dhaniya)

Coriander is a herb that is used all over the world as a garnishing and flavouring in dishes. Coriander has anti-fungal and anti-microbial properties. Coriander leaves contain antihistamines which are able to ward off many allergies. Consume them regularly by adding as a garnishing to your food. Nose bleeding that occurs due to allergies can be effectively controlled by applying a few drops of coriander oil to the inner nose lining.

The coriander oil is extracted from the dry fruits and is available in health stores. Coriander seeds are effective in treating emotional disorders and anxiety, which play a major role in nose bleeding. Apply a paste of coriander leaves to your forehead. This cools your head and stops nose bleeding in a very short time.


Cayenne (Bell Peppers)

Cayenne is effective in controlling the blood pressure and this in turn prevents excessive bleeding that can be dangerous as it can lead to other complication like anemia or even death. One can apply directly on the affected area or a teaspoon of cayenne in a cup of hot water can be taken internally. This will stop most nosebleeds quickly.

This is a very effective remedy and stops nose bleeds almost immediately as the cell stimulant cayenne travels fast through the entire blood stream and regulates the blood pressure so that the blood flow is the same all over the body and takes the heavy pressure away from the bleeding area. Cayenne is known to be cruel to the nose especially when poured into the sensitive tissue, but due to its quickness in stopping nose bleed, it is recommended that one uses it.


Amla (Indian Gooseberry)

Indian Gooseberry is popularly used as a home herbal remedy for nose bleeds. Due t o its antibacterial and astringent attributes the Indian Gooseberry protects against infection. It is very rich in vitamin C and helps improves body’s resistance. People susceptible to allergies get a better resistance by consuming it on daily basis.

To use Amla in curing nose bleeds, drop two to three drops of the Alma juice in the nose. Consuming a teaspoonful of amla murabba, which can be prepared at home or bought from health stores, every morning, helps people who suffer from nose bleeds quite often as it helps develop the body’s resistance.


Goldenseal

Goldenseal also stops bleeding in nose bleeds and helps to  prevent their recurrence. Goldenseal has a bitter, astringent taste and cooling and drying tendencies which help treat nose bleeds effectively. The root of the plant is used for medicinal purposes. Take about 1 teaspoon of goldenseal.

Put it in a pan and boil it for some time. After it has cooled at the desired temperature, with your noise slightly elevated  pour it in the nose. This stops nose bleeds immediately. Do this regularly as it helps prevent nose bleeds.


Yarrow

Yarrow is weed found all over the world. It is a herbal remedy that has been used for treating many ailments for ages. It is diaphoretic, astringent, tonic, stimulant and is mildly aromatic. The yarrow leaves are contain the medical properties that can stop the nose bleeding.
