Share

If you are an admirer of head to toe flawless beauty and want the same for yourself then never leave your darkened underarms untreated. The dark color of your underarms might stain your overall beauty. Women across the globe hesitate to dress up in sleeveless attire as they are shy to reveal their discolored underarms.

Many of the cosmetic products these days target to lighten up your armpits but these work on a superficial level and do not provide a long term healing. Why not take yet another step, and prepare some herbal remedies for dark underarms, at the very comfort of your house.

There are some age old remedies that work effectively and cure many beauty related problems with zero side effects. These are lighter on your wallet, contain no chemicals, easy to prepare and give a promising result.

7 Home Remedies For Dark Underarms

Potato Slices Or Juice

Potato is a very common ingredient found in every kitchen. You do not have to rush up to the local market or grocery shop to get one instantly. Just cut the raw potato into slices and rub over the affected area of your underarms before bath.

Alternatively, you could grate one potato and extract its juice and now mix little Turmeric Powder and Lemon Juice to it. Apply this paste for 10-15 minutes before bath.

Cucumber Juice

Cucumber is a herbal ingredient that is known for its cooling benefits and bleaching properties to soothe your skin. This works instantly and lightens the skin tone in less than a month’s time. Also, Cucumber’s coolant property curbs perspiration thus reducing any further skin darkening of underarms.

Lemon Juice

Lemon juice is an effective home remedy to lighten the skin tone of your darkened under arms. The acidic property of Lemon juice keeps away bad odor and perspiration.

This is also a potent Bleaching agent that reduces darkening. A regular use of Lemon juice before bath everyday proves highly efficacious. Always remember to apply moisturizer after bathing when your underarm is rubbed with Lemon Juice.

Homemade Pack

For the more stubborn dark underarms you might instead try a homemade pack. All you need to do is to mix 2 tablespoons of Gram flour with little Yogurt, Lemon Juice and Turmeric Powder and prepare a paste.

Now apply this paste on your underarms and let it dry completely. Wash the pack gently with cold water and massage with a moisturizer. On the contrary, if you are little short of time buy a Clay skin mask and apply it as directed above.

Saffron And Milk

Saffron is known as the most precious beauty gift a woman can get. It soothes your skin and makes it appear one tone fairer.

A pinch of Saffron could be mixed with two spoons of milk and apply onto the affected skin surface. This is one of the primeval remedy being practiced for ages in India.

Baking Soda

Time and again dead cells get deposited on the underarms pertaining to overexposure to razors, hair removing creams and continuous perspiration. A gentle exfoliation of this debris might clear your darkened underarms skin and give it a lighter shade.

One such common scrub could be made by mixing Baking Soda with water and massaging it over the dark portion of your armpit. Rinse this with cold water and repeat on alternate days for 3-4 weeks.

Sandalwood

Sandalwood spells magic to lighten your skin tone. This could be readily applied on your darkened underarm by making a paste with Rose Water.

Moreover, it is always suggested to use deodorants, razor or hair removing cream very occasionally to keep your sensitive underarm’s skin free of damage and darkening.
