Papaya Extract

You can prepare a thick paste of papaya pulp and 2 tablespoon of honey. Next, apply it over the tanned portions and wash gently with cold water.


Potato Juice

Potato is known from very old times to reduce skin tanning. You can cut one potato into several slices and rub it over the darkened region of the body. This diminishes sunburn in less than 15 days. Alternately, you could extract potato juice and integrate it with two tablespoon of lime juice. Apply this mixture on your face or affected area evenly every day.


Sandalwood

Sandalwood powder is yet another age old herb to lighten your skin tone and nourish it from inside. Little sandalwood paste mixed with Almond oil provides multiple beauty benefits and also improves your skin texture.


Cucumber

Cucumber proves effective to cure tanning due to sunburn. Mix 1 small cup Cucumber juice with 1 tablespoon Rose water and 2 tablespoon Lemon juice and apply this solution on the tanned skin area every day. Cucumber and Rose water act as a coolant where as Lemon juice supplies Citric acid to reduce tanning.


Tomato and Lemon Juice

Make fine tomato puree in a bowl and mix it with 4 tablespoon of Lemon juice. Keep this on your face or tanned area for15 minutes and thereafter wash gently with cold water.


Yogurt

Mix 6 tablespoon of Lemon juice and 2 table spoon of turmeric powder in a bowl of yogurt. Keep this paste on the tanned skin surface and wash with normal water after 30 minutes.


Oatmeal and Buttermilk

A composition of Oatmeal and buttermilk spells magic on your skin. Oatmeal provides nourishment for new cellular growth and also acts as a gentle scrub to exfoliate the dead melanin cells. Plus, Buttermilk lightens the skin tone and moisturizes it well.

Skin tanning is not a serious yet little concerning trouble. Some precautionary measures could however help you escape sun tanning cleverly. Always remember to cover your skin when going under the sun and wear a potent sunscreen that has strong SPF formulation to protect against tanning.
