8 Excellent Natural Remedies For Prickly Heat Rashes

In medical term prickly heat rash is known as ‘miliaria’. It is a common skin problem experienced mainly in summer by people irrespective of age. Where climate is hot and humid, people experience excessive sweating. Sweating accompanied with oil secreted from sweat glands and dirt of the atmosphere blocks the pores of the skin. In these blocked pores bacterial infection occurs and it results into prickly heat rashes. Prickly heat looks like small red bumps which extremely itches. You may get some medicines for prickly heat rashes over the counter but natural remedies work best in this case. A few healthy practice and some home remedies do miracle to cure prickly heat rashes.

Maintain Hygiene

First of all you just have to maintain hygiene. So, always wear clean cotton cloth in summer. Stay away from synthetic cloth. It does not allow air circulation inside your attire whereas cotton cloth and cloths made by natural fiber allows air circulation inside your garments and keep your body cool. Moreover, cotton or natural fiber absorbs sweat and keeps your body dry.

Bathe At Least Twice in Summer

Bathe twice or thrice in summer. Bathing helps to remove heat from your body. It also helps to remove sweat and dirt from your skin and thus unclog the pores of the skin. Habit of regular bathing in plain water both prevents and helps to cure prickly heat.

Neem Leaves

Neem leaves are an excellent natural medicine for prickly heat rashes. Take some fresh neem leaves and grind them. Extract the juice. Apply the juice on your rashes. Wait an hour and then wash with plain and cold water. Bathe in neem water daily to get rid of prickly heat. It is very easy to make neem water. Boil a good amount of fresh neem leaves in water. Boil them till the water is reduced to one third amount of the actual water. Strain the water and preserve it in the refrigerator. Mix this water in your bath water. Neem leaves have antibacterial and antiseptic properties which cures not only prickly heat but also almost all types of skin rashes and diseases.

Sandalwood Paste

Sandalwood paste is another superb product for prickly heat rashes. Take some real sandalwood powder and pour some rose water in it to make a paste. Apply this paste all over your body especially on those areas that are affected by prickly heat. Sandalwood paste is a cool substance. It makes your body cool evaporating heat from your skin. Moreover, it also has antibacterial and antifungal properties which help to remove prickly heat rashes from your skin killing the rash causing bacteria.

Turmeric

Turmeric is also an excellent product to cure prickly heat rashes. Take some fresh and raw turmeric. Grind them into a smooth paste. Apply this paste in a thick layer on the whole body. Let it dry and then wash with plain and cold water. Turmeric has antifungal, antiseptic and antibacterial properties which are effective not only for prickly heat rashes but also for other skin problems also. Regular using of turmeric helps to increase glow of your skin and it also improves the texture of the skin.

Aloevera

Fresh aloevera gel is also excellent for prickly heat rashes. Slit one aloevera tube and remove the gel from it. Mash it well and then apply it to your skin. Wait as long as possible. Aloevera gel is excellent for the skin. It not only cures prickly heat rashes cooling the skin, it also moisturizes your skin and makes it soft and supple. To get an excellent result apply it daily on your skin.

Mint Juice and Fuller’s Earth

Mint juice is also an excellent product for the remedy of prickly heat rash. Grind some fresh mint leaves and extract the juice. Take some fuller’s earth and pour the juice in it. Make a paste and apply the paste on your prickly heat rashes. Antiseptic properties of mint leaves not only cure prickly heat, fuller’s earth cleans all the dirt and oil from the skin and makes it clog free. Fuller’s earth scrubs out dead skins also and helps skin to breathe. Thus, it also prevents rashes and makes your skin look glowing supplying enough oxygen to it.

Potato and Oatmeal

Grate some potato and extract the juice. Grind some oatmeal to fine powder. Mix both products and apply it to your skin. Oatmeal scrubs out all dirt and oil and potato juice soothes the skin. Use this product twice or thrice a week and soon get rid of prickly heat rashes.

Follow these tips along with a light diet consist of fresh fruits and vegetables. All these things will help you to get rid of prickly heat rashes naturally.
