It’s a very rare case that you have infection in your eyes. You get up in the morning and suddenly see a red swollen bump. It is actually a stye that emerges on the inner or outer side of your eyelid. The stye being an infection of the sebaceous gland over the eyelid looks like a little pimple.

The eye portion irritates a lot when the bacteria obstruct the glands of the eyelid. This infection can extend to the eyelash’s roots and it will start to pain when you touch it, turning to redness and itching. Though your eye won’t be affected by the stye, but they can reappear again. The stye doesn’t even allow you to blink in a proper way.

It is very important for a person to treat the stye and the easy home remedies will give you great comfort and are advantageous too. Before visiting your doctor you can try out the remedies at home. Various Remedies For Styes

Compresses

Applying a warm compress on the eyelid really helps in warding off the styes. You have to dip a clean cloth in the warm water and then wring the excess water from it, and press it slightly on the affected portion for 10 minutes.

You have to keep the cloth re-warmed during 10 minutes treatment. By this the stye will ripen and it will draw off by its own. You have to repeat the process for 4 times per day till you heal.


Potato

Potato too is effectual in warding away the styes. You have to collect few potato scrapings which include the white portion and not the peeled part. You have to enfold them in a cheese-cloth and set it on your eyelid for almost 10 minutes.

You have to continue this procedure 5 to 6 times in the whole day thus repeating it for few days. Slowly the stye will disappear itself and you’ll be free of redness.


Teabag

When you’ve prepared your hot tea, you can utilize the tea bag as a remedy for styes, instead of putting it in the dustbin. The tea bag should be cooled enough so that it won’t give you burns when put on skin.

You can place the moist black teabag on the stye area for few minutes as the tannic acid in it will shrink away the stye automatically.


Castor Oil

The stye infection can be petered out with the help of castor oil. You have to take some castor oil and immerse a small cotton swab in it, and then apply the liquid on the stye portion two times a day.

Before putting the castor oil, you can use a warm compress so that the pores of the eyelid will open up.


Dandelion Tea

You can heal the stye by taking the help of dandelion tea. You can arrange a cup of dandelion tea and drink it along with each of your meal so that the bacteria in charge of the stye will be killed within few days.

Hence you should make sure to drink it for a week or so till you are free from the styes.


Acacia Leaves/Bancha Leaves/ Parsley

If you have acacia leaves or roasted bancha or parsley spice in your kitchen, you can put them in a bowl of water and heat them for 10 minutes.

Then you can wet the cloth in the solution and place it on the stye for few minutes. You need to throw away the solution after doing each treatment. You have to continue with this procedure for few days till you get cured from the infection.


Turmeric

You can create an eye-drop with the aid of turmeric which will destroy the styes. You can add two teaspoons of turmeric in the water and boil it.

Allow it to cool and insert it in the eye-drop. You can then put the drops on the stye areas for 2 times a day. After the repeating of this method for 4 to 5 days, your infection will finally leave you.


Triphala Powder

You can prepare a mixture of triphala powder by adding it to the water and keeping it for 8 to 10 hours. Only after that you can use the mixture for washing the infected portion.

If you continuously repeat it, in few days time you can get relief from the stye.


Aloe Leaf

The inflammation and redness from the stye will diminish with the use of aloe leaf. You have to cut the aloe leaf in lengthwise direction and place the fleshy side of it on the eye for few minutes, and repeat it 2 to 3 times in a day.
