Ice packs

When you get injured the first treatment is given the ice pack. The first aid will relieve pain and swelling. Ice pack aids it squeeze the blood vessels, stopping the leakage of blood into tissues and the skin. Give this treatment after the injury. Cover the area with ice wrapped in a towel, hold it continuously for 20 minutes. Do the above at an interval of 3 or 4 hours in a day. If ice is not available, frozen vegetables can be used. In somebody ice pack treatment won’t work, especially to children. At that time you can give first aid with a towel wrapped up in water. To reduce pain adds lavender oil. At any time don’t put ice directly on the bruises.

Herbal Tea Compression Treatment

This remedy is simple and effective, but you have to wait for till it is done. Take a one teaspoon of few dried lavender and chamomile flowers. Put them in water and boil with a cover for 20 minutes. After that stain the solution and allow it cool. Now, herbal tea is ready. Start the first aid with a cloth soaked in the tea and with less force around the affected area. Do the first aid repeatedly in a day. The compressed herbal tea treatment will reduce swelling and relieve the pain in the affected area.

Tamarind And Turmeric Paste

Take a tamarind paste with water and add two bits of turmeric powder in a vessel. Now, heat the vessel containing tamarind and turmeric for a few minutes. Now, place the mixture in the wound in cloth and leave to see the bruises disappear quickly.

Onion

Onion has the power to heal the bruises and acts fast on the injured skin cells. When get injured, prepare onion juice quickly and apply it on the bruise. The skin absorbs the juice and goes inside the blocked blood vessels to relieve the pain and swelling.

Lemon

The lemon treatment may be irritating and pain when given. Take lemon juice and apply it on the bruise. Give the bruise a gentle rub for five minutes to relieve swelling. The skin of lemon and salt is also best. This is a cost effective remedy.

Cabbage

Cabbage treatment is simple to follow. Got injured, immediately take a few cabbage leaves and put them in a vessel containing hot water. Immerse the leaves in the water for a few minutes and apply it to the bruise at regular intervals. Cabbage leaves reduce swelling and pain.

Warm Water

Take tepid water, immerse a cloth or soak a cotton ball. Place the cotton ball or cloth on the bruise. Give a gentle massage around the bruise. Now you will see the swelling and pain reduced to a considerable level.

Arnica

The Arnica herb helps in decreasing inflammation, pain and improves blood circulation around the affected area. Apply Arnica gel around the area and rub. When using tincture adds a few drops of water. Follow the treatment for few times. You can also try this treatment. Take the lesser amount of cold water mix it with a few drops of lavender oil. Now add a few of drops of the following with one tablespoon of each; Arnica tincture, chamomile flowers, witch hazel bark and St. John’s wort. Immerse a cloth in the mixture and cover the area with the soaked cloth. Allow it cool for 15 minutes and give this treatment for two times in a day for three days.

Vitamin K

Vitamin K helps in controlling blood clotting that reduces bruising. Apply the vitamin K cream on the injured part and give it a rub. Do this 2 times in a day. To soothe the affected part take foods contains vitamin K, like lettuce, broccoli, kale, spinach, alfalfa and other green vegetables. Take vitamin K or alfalfa tablets after a consultation with a medical professional.
