9 Remedies For Age Spots

Share

Age spots, as the name suggests appear as we age. The skin which used to be smooth and clear, starts getting spots and blemishes. Though they are linked to age, their direct relationship is with the exposure to sun and ultraviolet rays. They affect all those parts of the body which get exposed to sun.

There are a number of home remedies which can help reduce these age spots. Age spots can not be removed completely.

Best Home Remedies For Age Spots

1.  Aloe Vera Gel

Apply the gel of aloe vera leaf on your age spots. It is better if you can apply it twice a day. Aloe vera can promote the growth of new and healthy cells. It removes the old worn out cells.

If you can grow aloe at home, snap a part of the fresh leaf and use it, the remaining leaf can be kept in the fridge for two days. It should be kept on the skin for more than half an hour.

2. Lemon Juice

Fresh juice of lemon has a mild acid which works exactly the way aloe vera acts. It exfoliates the dead skin cells, which start falling off, exposing the new cells down below.

3.  Buttermilk

Buttermilk is a natural cleanser and nourishing agent of the skin. It is rich in lactic acid, it works best if applied twice every day.

Buttermilk diminishes the darker shade of the skin by removing dead skin faster than it would have on its own.

4. Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar can be used in combination with onion. Take one part of apple cider vinegar and one part of onion juice, mix them and apply on your skin once a day.

You should wash the face after keeping this for half an hour. Gradually the age spots will start diminishing. Use this remedy continuously for one and a half month.
