Head lice are actually one type of parasites that survives by sucking the blood from the scalp. They stay on the scalp and the root of the hair. They spread their population and create a mess on the scalp. They lay their eggs near the roots of the hair. Children are mostly affected by this problem. It can also affect to people of all age group. They pass from one person to other through their bedding and common clothes. They suck the blood by a simple bite. This bite can sometime cause irritation. Apply the best types of home remedies to cure the problem.

These Remedies Can Properly Remove The Lice From The Scalp

Garlic

Garlic contains very strong type of fragrance that can create suffocating feeling to the lice. Ginger can be used in various forms to cure the problem. Take some garlic cloves and make paste of it. Add some lemon juice to it and apply the same on the entire scalp. Keep it for some time and then clean it with warm water. Repeating this method can cure the problem.

Olive oil

Olive oil is another best type of remedy that can help to cure the issue of head lice. It can kill the lice and clean the scalp. Take some olive oil and apply it on the scalp. Leave it for overnight and then clean the hair with a comb the next morning. Rinse it with mild shampoo and remove the lice from the head. Repeat this step to stay away from head lice.

Mayonnaise

Mayonnaise used in kitchen can be used to treat head lice. Take some mayonnaise and apply it gently on the scalp. It is mainly used because it can create a suffocating type of environment. Apply this during night time before going to bed. Keep it for all night and wash the hair with clean mild shampoo. Use a comb to remove the dead lice and nits.

Salt

Salt is used as one type of home remedy to cure the problem of head lice. Take some salt and add it to vinegar. Use it as a spray on the entire scalp. Wet the entire scalp with this solution. Cover it with a shower cap and allow it to dry for few hours. Wash it with water to remove the solution from the scalp. The acidic property will kill the lice.

Petroleum jelly

Petroleum jelly will not allow the lice to move and thus get suffocate. This process can be applied by taking some petroleum jelly. Apply this jelly on the entire scalp and cover with shower cap. Leave for overnight and then use a comb to remove the lice during early morning hours. It is a best process to track the head lice and remove it.

Coconut oil

Coconut oil is one of the best solutions to take care of head lice. Application of coconut oil will not only help to remove lice, but will also nourish the hair. Rinse the scalp and hair with apple cider vinegar. Apply coconut oil to the scalp and keep it for overnight. Comb the hair and wash it with mild shampoo. Repeat this trick to get rid of lice. Applying it on daily basis will remove the problem.

Sesame seeds

Sesame seeds are of great use for curing head lice. The oil that is present in these seeds is of great use. It mainly contains antifungal as well as insecticide property to deal with lice. Take some sesame seed oil and mix other essential oils to it. First rinse the head with vinegar and then apply this oil on the hair and scalp. Leave for overnight and then clean it.

Baby oil

Baby oil is also effective to cure the problem. It can be mixed with white vinegar and applied on the scalp. It is suppose to provide a very suffocating effect to the lice and will thus kill them at the instant. Apply this solution on the scalp and comb properly to remove all lice from the hair. It will take some time to remove the dead lice. Apply and allow the solution to dry for some time.

White vinegar

White vinegar is best to handle head lice without much effort. The acetic acid present in vinegar will help to kill the lice and remove it. Add some water to white vinegar in order to dilute it. Apply this solution on the hair as well as scalp. Cover it with cap and allow it to dry for few hours. Wash it with water and use a comb to remove the lice.
