The anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties of aloe vera kill the bacteria and reduce inflammation inside the mouth. Apply the thick juice of the aloe vera leaves on the affected parts directly three times daily. You can even use the plant extract to rinse mouth.
Onion is another useful home remedy for sore tongue. This commonly available item from the kitchen is packed with medicinal properties that assist in curing the most severe of canker sore.
Fresh pulp of raw onion can be applied directly on the affected parts. You can even take a raw onion and press it over the ulcers. This has to be repeated many times a day.
