Natural Cure For Arthritis Pain

Arthritis is a condition, generally characterized by stiffness and pain in the joints, such as ankles, knees and even fingers. In this condition, the inflammation in the soft muscles in the joints makes it very painful for the sufferers to move their joints smoothly.

It generally occurs in ageing people, but even adults can get affected with it due to lack of calcium in their body. Following are some of the proven natural remedies to relieve the symptoms of arthritis.

Mustard Oil With Camphor

Add 10 grams of camphor in 200 grams of mustard oil. Put this mixture in a bowl and warm it at low heat. Massage your joints with it while it is still warm. It relieves joint pain and stiffness of muscles. The gentle warmth that your muscles and bones get through it results in increased blood circulation that eventually relieves inflammation. You can store this mixture in a tightly corked bottle and re-use it. Just warm it a little before every use.

Coconut Oil With Camphor

You can also use coconut oil in place of mustard oil in the above remedy. The procedure remains the same. Both the remedies are equally beneficial.

Castor Oil

Boil 2 tbsp. of castor oil and pour it in one glass of fresh orange juice. Drink this mixture once daily, preferably right before your breakfast. Repeat this remedy everyday consistently for 3 weeks. Then, leave a gap of 3 weeks and continue the remedy again after that. For optimum benefits out of this natural remedy for arthritis, you are also advised to put yourself on an alkaline diet at least during the 3 weeks of treatment.

Green Gram Soup

Add 2 pieces of crushed garlic and 1 tbsp. of green gram in one cup of water. Stir the mixture thoroughly. Leave it for one hour. Filter the liquid after that. Drink this mixture 2 times daily.

Alfalfa

The tea prepared using the seeds of alfalfa plant can also prove to be very beneficial in relieving joint pain and inflammation caused by arthritis. You can prepare this herbal tea by mixing 1 tsp. of alfalfa seeds in 1 cup of water. Boil this mixture at low heat, allowing the herbs to steep thoroughly in water. Filter the liquid and drink it while it is still reasonably warm. Drink this tea 3-4 times daily consistently for 2 weeks. Leave a gap of 2 weeks and continue the remedy again.

Lime

The excessive presence of uric acid in the body is one of the major causes for arthritis. Lime contains citric acid, which can act like a solvent of uric acid. This way, it can relieve join pain, inflammation, and other symptoms of arthritis quite significantly. Extract the juice of one piece of lime and mix it thoroughly in one cup of purified water. Drink this mixture once daily, preferably on an empty stomach early in the morning.

Bananas

It has been found that providing your body with lots of vitamin B6 can be very effective in treating aching joints and other symptoms of arthritis. Bananas contain high quantity of vitamin B6. If you eat 9-12 bananas daily continuously for 4 days, you will feel great relief from stiffness, pain and swelling in joints. For faster results, you can even consider living on a banana-only diet for the 4-day time period. You can repeat this remedy once very month.

Sesame Seeds

Mix one tsp. of sesame seeds in ¼ cup of water. Do it right before your bedtime, allowing the seeds to soak in water thoroughly overnight. The next morning, take this mixture along with the seeds on an empty stomach. If you are suffering from frequent joint pains, this remedy can be very helpful for you.

Garlic

Garlic contains very powerful anti-inflammatory properties and can be very beneficial in relieving the symptoms of arthritis. Therefore, you are advised to use liberal amounts of garlic in your foods. In addition to that, you can also consider chewing a few pieces of raw garlic several times a day. The latter is obviously not a very tasty remedy, but it can bring great relief from inflamed and aching joints.

Water In Copper Container

Another popular way to treat arthritis naturally is to keep water in a copper container at bedtime and drink it on an empty stomach, first thing in the morning. It strengthens your muscular system, which eventually helps in relieving stiffness and inflammation in joints.

Red Beet, Celery And Carrot Juices

Mix equal quantities of red beet, celery and carrot juices. Drinking this mixture once daily can be very helpful, especially in relieving pain and stiffness in the joints.

Potato Juice

Right before you go to sleep at night, put thin slices of a medium-size potato in one large glass of water. The next morning, filter the liquid and drink it on an empty stomach.

Eggplant

Mash 1-2 pieces of baked eggplants. Then, fry them in castor oil. Add very small quantities of salt, garlic, turmeric, coriander and cumin. Cook the mixture for 10-15 minutes at low heat. When it cools down, take this mixture once daily regularly for 2-3 months.

Sea Salt In Warm Water

Fill your bath tub with warm water. Mix one cup of sea salt in it. Soak in this bath water once daily for optimum relief from stiffness and pain in joints.

Epsom salt can also be used in place of sea salt.

Ginger

Mix 2-3 grams of ginger in one glass of water and drink the mixture once daily. The pain-relieving properties of ginger will provide you great relief from arthritis pain.

Vinegar

Olive Oil

You can prepare massage oil for arthritis pain by mixing ten portions of olive oil and one portion each of sassafras oil, thyme, rosemary, sage, lavender, juniper and garlic. Warm this mixture a little. Massage your joints with it once daily.
