Effective Wonderful Herbs To Treat Gum Sores
Calendula
Calendula is a well-known herb for its antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and immune-stimulating compounds. It is very effective for treatment of gum infections.
You can use its tincture or extract (mixed with water) as a mouth wash or apply with the help of cleaned fingers on the infected area. As soon as this herb is applied over gums, its antibacterial agents will start fighting with germs and bacteria causing inflammation and give you relief from discomfort and pain of gum sores.
Aloe And Chamomile Mixture
Aloe and chamomile both are excellent antiviral, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antifungal herbs and their combination works miraculously over gum sores. Prepare a herbal mixture by adding 3 drops chamomile, 2 drops lavender, and 1 tablespoon aloe.
Gently apply this mixture over gums and see its immediate effect. This will help reduce inflammation and gingivitis, and give you relief from gum sores.
Mouthwash
Expectorant, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antibacterial, antiviral effect of thyme, tea tree, peppermint, and chamomile together make an excellent mouthwash for fighting against germs and infection of mouth and give relief from gum sores.
You can prepare a very effective mouthwash by adding a teaspoon each of the following oils (thyme, tea tree, peppermint, chamomile) diluted in 1 teaspoon of brandy to a cup of warm water. Use it as a magical mouthwash for treatment of all gum and teeth problems.
Gum Rinse
All these four herbs (goldenseal, myrrh, garlic, cayenne) are amazing antibacterial, antiviral, anti-inflammatory agents and can fight against gum problems solely too.
However, you can make a very effective gum rinse by combining them in a ratio of: 5 drops of goldenseal and myrrh tincture, 2 cloves crushed garlic, a pinch of cayenne and add it to 2 cups of water. Use it as a gum rinse to swish your mouth 2-3 minutes, 3-4 times a day.
Clove
Clove is one of the best known herbs as an analgesic and antiseptic treatment for dental pain, and for the treatment of gum disease and bad breath.
For treatment of gum sores, use 2-3 drops of clove oil in 1/4 cup of warm water as a mouth rinse 2 to 3 times daily. This will give you relief from inflammation and infection of gums and irritation caused due to gum sores.
Tincture
You can also prepare a herbal tincture with herbs loaded with anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, properties.
Combine echinacea with antiviral and anti-inflammatory compounds such as calendula, goldenseal, and myrrh in equal quantity and keep this herbal tincture in a tightly packed bottle. Apply a few drops of a combined tincture of these herbs to the affected areas up to three times daily.
