Brush Properly

People tend to take brushing their teeth very casually. Many think that it is enough to brush it once in a day but you need to understand that gong by the changing life styles and food habits daily brushing only once may not be sufficient. You eat different types of food items and brushing once may not help to remove the stuck food particles always. So make it appoint to brush twice daily.

If you suffer from severe gum diseases you need to brush after every meal. Apart from brushing you need to floss and clean your tongue as your tongue is often the hot bed for micro organisms to breed. You need to follow correct brushing technique too. If your brush is more than 3 months old change it immediately. Keep it soft and gentle while rotating it inside your mouth.


Avoid Certain Food Stuffs

Now this could be really difficult for some of you to skip or avoid your favorite food item. But if it is causing you trouble in your gums you better stay away from it. Food items such as dairy products, meat, chocolates and sweets, sugar candy needs to be avoided. Stay away from sticky food stuff such as pizza with cheese. It can stick between your teeth and increase your problem more. Avoid tobacco too.


Increase Vitamin C Intake

Take vitamin C enriched food products such as oranges, lemons, strawberries, amla etc. this will help in the re growth of your gums. you can also take B-complex, magnesium and zinc food products.


Brush With Baking Soda

Brushing with baking soda can help to a good extent. This is a popular constituent present in toothpastes as well as tooth powders. It helps in purifying the mouth while gently cleaning your teeth. You can keep a small pet jar of baking soda in your bathroom. Dip your damp toothbrush in it before brushing. You need to do it twice in a day.


Take A Few Pieces Of Rosemary

Rosemary is a good herb for gum diseases as it helps in increasing blood circulation to your gums. You need to crush a few leaves of rosemary and message your gums with it.


Take Cranberry Juice

You can use cranberry juice which is one of the old remedies for treating gum diseases. You can either use sugar or avoid it completely. It is a good treatment as it prevents bacteria to form a plaque over your teeth.

You need to follow a healthy diet and proper mouth cleaning routine to avoid getting gum diseases.
