The causes of the irritation are; too much pressure used on the razor why shaving, fractioned skin, shaving in the opposite direction of the hair, excessive use of aftershave lotion.

Chamomile

Chamomile is known as a good herbal remedy for skin diseases and mouth sores. It in fact one of the best herbs for razor burn and the flowers of the herb are used to make the necessary tea for the treatment.

Take a few spoonfuls of the flowers and boil them in clean water enough for tea. Add the herbs comfrey and Calendula to the tea to make it more effective. Take the dose till the burns last on the skin.

Calendula

Calendula is an herb used for several years to cure skin diseases. It is also beneficial when consumed to cure certain internal injuries. The cream of the herb must be used for the burns. Make a paste out of the herb and apply it to the affected areas. The irritation will begin to reduce instantly and so will the burning. The herb is known for its soothing effects and when applied on the skin it has no side effects whatsoever.

Witch Hazel

Witch Hazel is marketed herb all over the world for its several medicinal properties. It cures eczema, varicose veins, inflammation and gums, skin problems and many more disorders.

The herb can be very beneficial for razor burns, cuts and bumps. The herb has to be applied to the razor burn to soothe the irritation down to a great extent. The itching and burning reduces soon after you apply the juice of the herb on the affected area.
