These infections stay around for a few days or weeks and can be treated by using a few remedies that can be prepared easily in your home. 5 Home Remedies For Boils

Warm Compress

when the boils gets fully grown it develops a head or an opening on the top. We get very tempted to pop the head with a sharp object like a pin or a needle. This must be avoided as instead of curing the problem it only makes the condition worse. So instead of popping it out you can use the process of warm compress.

For this you need to take a clean cloth such as a towel and soak in it warm water. Then you damp the infected area with this warm cloth. The head will pop on its own draining the pus from inside. Apply mild pressure on the sides of the boil to squeeze out any remaining pus. After this clean the boil with mild anti septic lotion and cover it with a bandage.

Onion Treatment

This is really effective in case of boils. The pungent smell of onion carries antiseptic chemicals that act as an antimicrobial irritant.  This helps in heating up the boil. You need to cut a thick slice of onion and put it over the infected area. After this cover the area with a cloth. Keep on changing the cover every three to four hours until the boil heats up, develops a head and drains out on its own. It is easy and takes less time.

Egg White Treatment

Eggs can also help in curing boils. In the early nineteenth century people used the whites of hard-boiled eggs for treating boils.

You need to hard boil an egg and then peel it. Pour water over it and apply it directly over the boil. You need to then cover it with a cloth.

Jar Treatment

This is an age old treatment for boils. You will require a cup or a small jar and heat it in boiling water. After the jar gets hot hold it with tongs and cool it for a few minutes but not very cool. Adjust according to your need. Then place the jar over the boil to apply suction. This will help to draw blood and pop the boil on its own.

Nutmeg Treatment

Consuming nutmeg can also help in curing boils. Nutmeg helps to stimulate blood circulation in your body, which then helps your body to fight any bacterial infection that could be present in your boil.

You need to stir 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg into 1 cup of hot water and drink it daily.
