5 Remedies For Hair Removal

Unsightly hair present on the chin, armpits and legs can be quite annoying to women. Although, fine hair on the face is normal, the problem starts when the hair growth is thick and coarse. This kind of excessive hair growth is due to hormonal imbalance, hereditary factors or as an effect of certain medicines.

There are a few home remedies that will not only help in removing the hair, but also slow down the hair re-growth. These treatments are quite effective, if done regularly. However, make sure to do some pre-testing to check that there is no unpleasant reaction before proceeding. Home remedies are the best solution to remove unwanted hair without any side effects and moreover, they are cost-efficient as well.


Useful Home Remedies To Get Rid Of Unwanted Hair


Sugar And Egg White

Besides removing unsightly hair, this remedy will also help in attaining a glowing and beautiful skin. It is suitable to treat arms, legs and face. You will need an egg white, white sugar (1 tbsp) and corn flour (1/2 tbsp). Blend all the above mentioned ingredients until a paste is formed. Apply this to the areas, where you desire to remove the hair. Peel it, when it is completely dry.


Turmeric Powder And Gram (Chickpea) Flour

Make a paste using gram flour, curd and turmeric powder. Apply the paste to the skin and allow it to dry for about 30 minutes. Then rub this paste in the direction opposite to the hair growth.

Apply moisturizer after this process. Continue this process weekly once for 4 months to get rid of the hair naturally.


Sugar, Lemon And Honey

This simple home-made waxing mixture is easy to make. Mix honey, lemon and sugar in the ratio of 30:10:60. Microwave the ingredients on a high, until you obtain a gel like consistency. You can also heat it up in a stove on a high flame. Allow this mixture to cool for some time, so that your skin will not burn when applied.

Apply a very thin layer of paste on the skin. Cover it with a cotton cloth and press it in a direction opposite to the growth of the hair. After a few minutes, pull the cloth quickly in the direction opposite to the hair growth. Now, apply ice & astringent, as it will help in closing the pores.


Pumice Stone

Scrub the surface with hair using a pumice stone. First apply soap or any other lubricant on the skin and then use the pumice stone, else you may get red spots and rashes. Using pumice stone regularly for bathing will help in removing or reducing the density of hair in a few months.


Aloe Vera Gel

Mix together, aloe vera gel (4 tbsp), mustard oil (2 tbsp) and lavender essential oil (2 drops), turmeric powder (1/4 tbsp), gram flour (1/4 tbsp) and papaya powder (1/4 tbsp).

Spread this paste on the skin in a thin layer. Leave for about 20 minutes and later remove with a piece of fabric. Follow this treatment every two to three days for a couple of months to get rid of the hair completely.
