All of us have vinegar in our kitchen for cooking purposes. However, the food flavouring ingredient can also be used to remove lice from scalp. Prepare a mixture by adding equal quantities of vinegar and water.
First, wash your hair with shampoo and then apply this homemade mixture by rubbing on your hair. Leave it untouched for 2-3 mins. Rinse off with fresh water. Vinegar helps to kill nits and dissolve them.
Onion is an important ingredient that can help to abort lice. Take onion juice and rub it on your scalp vigorously. Tie all your hair with headband and leave the extracting onion juice for 4-5 hours.
After this, wash your hair with fresh water and apply shampoo to remove odour. Comb your hair by using lice comb to remove the dead lice and nits from your hair. Repeat this process in a gap of 2 days to eradicate lice and nits completely.
Take half cup of olive oil and add same quantity of vinegar and merge them properly. Apply this mixture directly on your scalp and leave it for an hour. Then, wash your hair properly with fresh tap water. You can use your daily shampoo to avoid the odour of the mixture. Use this application twice in a week for better result.
You can also use essential oils to get rid from lice problem. Essential oil has the potential to destroy lice and it can also help to soothe the itching and irritation that may cause due to lice and nits. Here is a unique combination that can be prepared with the help of your kitchen products.
Take 1 teaspoon of tea -tree oil, add half teaspoon of rosemary oil and also sprinkle half teaspoon thyme juice. Mix well and then add half teaspoon lavender oil along with 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Make a perfect mixture to apply on your scalp. Take few drops of this mixture and rub into your hairs.
Cover all your hairs with this mixture by following the same procedure and then cover your hairs with plastic cap or you can wrap towel around them. It might cause some irritation but you need to bear it for an hour. Rinse your hair properly with the help of your shampoo. You can follow this remedy after every 15 days to prevent lice.
Garlic and lemon are the most common product that always available in our kitchen. They not only add great flavor to our foods, but can also save us from lice problem. Most of us are not aware of this fact and may it as a joke but it is true. Make a thick paste by adding few drops of lemon juice in 1 tablespoon of garlic paste.
Take this paste on your fingertips and massage it on your scalp. Then, you need to cover your hair with shower cap. Keep it for 4-5 hours so that it can kill lice. Wash your hairs thoroughly with your daily shampoo. After this, comb your hair with lice comb to prevent lice from reoccurring.
Sounds shocking but Mayonnaise do help in removing lice from scalp. Take some portion of Mayonnaise in a bowl and apply directly on your scalp. You can also add lemon and some solid butter to the mixture and rinse properly for about 15 min. Cover the head with plastic bag. Later when you remove the bag, lice gets stuck to the abg and come out accordingly.
Petroleum Jelly has some oils that kill lice quickly. Pick handful of petroleum jelly and apply on your scalp. Rinse your hair thoroughly. Being thick, corn flour is added to enable smoother removal of lice. In the end, run down the lice comb through your hair and remove the dead lice.
Antiseptic mouthwash is a mixture of thymus, eucalyptus, menthol, salicylic and of course alcohol. All these substances kill lice better than any other agent. Pour half bottle over your hair and leave it untouched for 20 minutes. Rinse hair properly and remove the dead lice with a comb.
