Shingles is caused due to a viral attack that can cause rash or blisters on the skin. Shingles can cause itching or pain in some cases. Shingles pain can be worse in some cases. It generally happens at the age of 60’s or with the week immunity system.

1. Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is very good for our body. It helps us fight against many problems and shingles is one of them. You can drink some apple cider vinegar with water two times a day. You can also apply it on your blisters with a cotton ball. This will reduce shingles pain and also help in healing the blisters.

2. Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is very soothing to the skin. Take one spoon of coconut oil and mix with half spoon of aloe vera gel and a pinch of cayenne pepper. Mix them well and apply it on your blisters with a cotton ball. Do not press hardly on your shingles, but do it gently. This will provide relief from shingles and also help in removing marks from the skin.

 

3. Oatmeal

Take a cup of grounded oatmeal and mix it in your bath water. Oatmeal will help in proving relief from burning sensation and soothe your skin. You can also mix some oatmeal with water and can directly apply on the affected area. This will help a lot.

4. Baking Soda

Baking soda is very food the skin. You can add four spoons of baking soda in your bathing water every day. This will help in recovering from shingles very fast. Baking powder will help in reducing itching and helps in healing your blisters very fast.

 

5. Vitamin C

Vitamin C is present in all citrus fruits like gooseberry, lime, lemons, orange, strawberry, etc. These fruits help in building up the immune system. You can drink a glass of fresh orange juice every day.

Eating Indian gooseberries will provide relief from shingles. You can also consume a glass of lime juice and can add one spoon of honey in it. These drinks will help in faster recovery from shingles.

 

6. Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide solution can be easily available in medical stores. This silver solution is very good for the skin. To see dramatic changes in your blisters, apply this solution with a cotton ball three times a day on your blisters. This will help in reducing severe pain and itching.

 

7. Aloe Vera and Honey

Take some aloe vera gel and apply it on your blisters. Apply this gel four times a day. Once your blisters burst out, start applying honey on them. Honey is very soothing on your open blisters and provide relief from itching. This is a very effective home remedy for shingles.

8. Cold Compress

You can try cold compress on your shingles, this will help you provide relief from pain. Take a cotton cloth and put some ice in it. Apply it gently on your blisters and do it for 30 minutes. Cold compress is very soothing during shingles.
