Stay Hydrated

When you suffer from diarrhea, your body does not just lose a lot of liquid, but also electrolytes and various critical minerals like potassium and sodium. Your body needs all these ingredients to stay healthy. Therefore, the most important part of diarrhea treatment is to keep your body thoroughly hydrated throughout the day and night. Besides drinking plenty of water, you are also advised to drink lots of electrolyte replacement formula, such as Ricelyte, Rehydralyte and Pedialyte. In addition to that, you must also consider drinking fruit juices (except prune and apple). Sports drinks can also prove to be very beneficial, such as ginger ale, flat soda pop and others.


Carrot Soup

If you are having abdominal cramps, you can try putting a heating pad on your belly.Last, but not the least, you must avoid certain foods, such as dairy products like cheese and milk and greasy or high-fiber foods. You should eat foods that are gentler on your stomach, such as skinless white-meat chicken, soda crackers, cooked carrots, toast, potatoes, bananas, noodles, rice, gelatin and soup.
