Best Home Remedies for Itching


Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is very effective for itching. Coconut oil supplies pure fat to your skin and cures dryness. It helps to stop itching by curing dryness of skin and supplying enough nourishment and hydration to your skin. First wet your body and then massage coconut oil in a roundabout way. Wet skin absorbs oil very well. After massaging oil on your body do not wash your body immediately. Let your skin absorb the oil. Then bathe in normal plain water.


Fenugreek Seeds

Soak some fenugreek seeds in water to get soft. Then grind it to paste. Apply this paste on your itching. And leave it for sometimes. Fenugreek has antibacterial, antifungal and antiseptic property. It cures itching very quickly. After that, wash your skin with plain normal water.

Do not use hot water on skin because it may create burning sensation on itching and may make your skin drier. Apply fenugreek every alternate day and cure itching quickly.


Turmeric and Neem

Turmeric and neem is an excellent product to cure itching because both these products have antibacterial and antifungal property. Mustard oil is also good for skin. It increases the immunity power of the skin and works effectively on itching. Grind few fresh neem leaves and turmeric to smooth paste.

Now take a cup of mustard oil and boil those pastes in the oil on low flame till the amount of oil reduces to one third. Then remove it from oven and let it cool. Preserve the oil in a bottle. Massage the oil everyday on your whole body at least 15-20 minutes before taking bath and stand under the sunlight for sometimes to get vitamin D. Everyday application of this oil will help you to cure itching.


Sandalwood Paste and Camphor

Take some sandalwood powder and add water to make a smooth paste. Add pinch of camphor in the paste and mix well. Apply this paste on your itching skin. Sandalwood has a cooling effect and it soothes itching. Moreover, antibacterial quality of sandalwood and camphor cures the causes of the itching.


Tea Tree Oil

Dilute some tea tree oil in water. Take a cup of water and add 10-15 drops of tea tree oil in the water. With the help of a cotton ball apply this diluted oil on your skin. This will help you to cure itching very effectively.


Lavender Oil

Lavender oil also has antibacterial and antifungal property. It helps to cure itching within very short period. Massage diluted lavender oil allover your body to stop itching. You can also mix raw lavender oil in your body mask to get the benefit. You can also mix lavender oil in the body oil. Massage your body oil on your whole body to stop itching.


Mint Juice

Mint juice also has antibacterial property. Mint juice also has cooling effect which soothes skin. Crush mint leaves and extract the juice. Apply raw mint juice on itching. Cooling effect of mint helps to calm down itching. Boil some mint leaves and mix the water in the bath water to get the relief.


Basil Leaves and Honey

Basil juice is excellent to stop itching. Crush fresh basil leaves and extract the juice. Now mix honey with basil juice. Mix well and apply it on your skin. Leave it for 10-15 minutes and then wash with plain water. This helps to cure itching very quickly.


Clove and Juniper Berries

Clove and juniper berries is a good combination to cure itching. Grind some cloves to powder. Grind some juniper berries also. Now melt some unsalted butter in a pan and mix clove powder and grinded juniper berries. The berries contain volatile anti-inflammatory substance and clove has antiseptic property. This juniper clove mixture helps you to cure itching within a few days if you practice it at regular basis.


Chilled Milk and Rose Water

Chilled milk soothes the itching sensation supplying proper nutrition and hydration to the skin. To enhance the power of milk, mix rose water in the milk. Milk and rose water works as moisturizer on skin, cures dryness and itching.


Rose Water and Glycerin

Mix rose water and glycerin and massage that on your skin to cure itching. It is better to massage the rose water mix glycerin on your body everyday at night before going to sleep so that your skin gets enough time to absorb it.


Thyme

Thyme is a very effective herb to cure itching. It has anti itching property. Soak some dry thyme in hot water. Strain the water. Apply this thyme water all over your body; it will help to cure itching.


Ripe Papaya

Mash some ripe papaya and apply it on your itching everyday. Everyday application of ripe papaya will help to cure itching.


Lemon in Water

Add lemon juice in your bath water and use that for bathing purpose. You may also sprinkle camphor in the water. Bathing in this water everyday helps to cure itching.


Cucumber Juice and Rice Husk
