Night sweats means the occurrence of excessive sweat while you are sleeping. This problem can occur in any age group but is more likely in the adulthood or menopause.The sufferer may have sweats or not when he/she awakes.This problem can be due to genetic reasons or due to menopause or perimenopause. It also occurs during pregnancy as lot of hormonal changes takes place in the body.

The night sweats should not be confused with the problem that arises due to unclean environment of the bedroom. Some people try to get relief from the night sweats by wearing moisture wicking pyajamas and by increasing the intake of water but this is a temporary treatment.

The deficiency of estrogen in the body leads to night sweats. So the intake of this herb will solve the problem of hormonal imbalance. This herb can be taken in the form of tea or capsules. However, this herb is not recommended for the women who have a history of breast cancer.


Chasteberry

The hormones of the body help to cool off the temperature of the body and the herb chaste berry helps to regulate the production of hormones. This herb leads to a rise in the levels of progesterone in the body and limits the production of estrogen in the body. If there is a malfunctioning in the body’s internal thermostat then also this herb helps to remove this malfunction. You can take this herb in the form of tea, supplements or dried powder.


Dong Quai

Dong Quai is a Chinese herb. During night sweat when the temperature of the body is high then the blood vessels amplify so that it can scatter the excess heat of the body. This herb stabilizes the blood vessels and evenly distributes the temperature of the body.

This herb can be taken in the form of fresh or dried root powder or liquid extract. However, you should not take this herb while menstruating or if you are pregnant or suffering from a viral infection.


Red Clover

Red clover herb contains isoflavonoids that have the same effect as estrogen. This herb helps to improve the blood circulation of the body and remove the excessive fluids from your body. This process helps to give relief from night sweats.

This herb can be taken in the form of tea, extract or capsules. The pregnant woman and the females suffering from ovarian, uterine or breast cancer should not take this herb as this herb can lead to complications in them.


Sage

Sage leaf has estrogenic properties that help to get relief from night sweats. You can use this herb as a culinary herb or medicinal herb as it can be used in the form of tea, extract or supplement.
