Dizziness is a situation in which a person has got impaired visual spatial perception and stability. The term dizziness can be used for vertigo, presyncope and disequilibrium in feelings like giddiness. But there exists a difference between the terms dizziness and vertigo. The dizziness is associated with faintness and a feeling of inconsistency while vertigo is a feeling in which a person feels like that the whole outside world is revolving around him/her.

Both these problems are felt when the central nervous system get mixed with the signals it receive from the inner ear, eyes and muscles. Effective Herbal Remedies for Dizziness

Black Cohosh

The herb black cohosh is good for the treatment of nervous disorders, menstrual problems etc. Since it has a direct bearing on the central nervous system and helps to balance the signals that it receives from other organs of the body.

You can take the roots of this herb in the form of tincture or liquid extract. Black cohosh tea can also be taken by boiling the leaves and roots of this herb in water.


Gingko Biloba

The herb gingko biloba is the native herb of china. The leaves of this herb have proved there effectiveness in the treatment of cerebral palsy, dizziness, lack of concentration and lack of sleep. This herb increases the blood circulation in the body and helps to increase the amount of oxygen supply towards the brain and when the brain has a proper supply of oxygen then the chances of dizziness are less. The precaution that has to be taken while taking this herb is that it should not be taken with any anti-coagulant medicine.


Ginger

Ginger herb is available in almost every kitchen and it is used in cooking and as a herbal medicine for many diseases like stomach disorder, fever, cough and cold etc.

This herb is anti-bacterial, anti-ulcer and helps to lower the high levels of cholesterol also. Ginger regulates the circulation of blood and controls the high blood pressure which is one of the reasons behind dizziness.


Celery

Celery seeds contain limonene and selenium. These compounds lower the high blood pressure which reduces the dizziness in the body. Celery seeds were first being used by Chinese for the treatment of dizziness. You can take celery by making its tea, juice, liquid extract or capsules of celery seeds.


Pumpkin

Pumpkin is a very good source of vitamins and minerals and it also contains omega 3 fatty acids that increase the energy levels and mental strength thus reducing the dizziness in the body.

The important constituents of pumpkin seeds include beta-sitosterol, chromium, copper, cucurbitin, salicylic-acid, selenium and zinc. These elements are very good to fight with dizziness. You can use pumpkin or pumpkin oil in any form you like as it is a safe herb which many of us use in our daily cooking.
