Herbal Treatments For Open Pores

Herbal Steam

Herbal Steam is probably the best method to remove pores as they force the pores to open up and in turn cleans them inside out. Mix half cup of dried calendula, dried lavender and dried rose petal. Now pour four cups of boiling water onto the mixture and keep it for 20 minutes.

Now, strain the water into a bowl and position your face above it. Place a towel above your head so that no steam escapes and let it feed your pores. After sometime, wash your face with an exfoliating scrub and follow with a toner. This gives you a perfect pore free face.

Holy Basil

Holy Basil is another great pore remover and it also brightens our face color. Boil 2 to 3 teaspoons of holy basil leaves with one cup of water for about 15 minutes. This helps in releasing the natural oils of the herb basil.

Now strain this water and allow it to cool. Use a cotton pad to apply this mixture onto your open pores and blemishes to remove the oil build-up inside them. It is recommended that you apply this 2 times a day for about a week for absolute removal of pores.

Chamomile

Chamomile is an excellent herb that works by attracting all the grease out of the open pores. Crumble up few chamomile flowers evenly into minute particles. Now whisk it with beaten egg and honey until it becomes almost like a slightly grainy paste.

Apply it evenly on your face and neck area and keep this mask on for about 20 minutes. Then gently wipe it away with a wet towel. However remember not to scrub your face away as the chamomile may cause burning abrasions.

Aloe Vera

Being rich in certain enzymes and antibacterial substances, Aloe Vera fights bacteria and removes dark heads. It can be used in different ways. The best method is however, the raw application. Get hold of an aloe Vera leaf and apply the pulp directly on your face. Keep it for some time and then wash it away.

If you cannot get the actual leaf then you can buy an aloe Vera gel based substance and apply it on your face. Yet again there are aloe Vera drinks available in the market that removes dark heads inside out.

Neem

Neem leaves are filled with all sorts of vitamins and minerals that not only help in removing open pores but also fixes any skin problem and tones them you can either drink 2 to 4 teaspoons of Neem juice that comes out of its fruit daily or mix it with turmeric and honey into a paste and apply it once a week on your face. The results are pretty evident.
