Plantar Fascia, also known as Plantar Fasciitis, is a condition in which your feet area, especially heels, faces excruciating pain due to inflammation of a plantar fascia, which is a thick band of tissues. The band connects your toes to the bone of your heel. The causes of the condition are; tension on the bowstring, tearing of the band of tissues, stretching too much, etc.

The symptoms of the condition are; pain that gradually develops, start with one foot or both the feet, feeling like the heels are being stabbed. There are certain herbs that can help you get relief from the pain. Some of the most effective herbal remedies for plantar fascia are given below;

Best Herbal Remedies For Plantar Fascia

Ginger

Ginger is one of the most used herbs to cure several internal problems including nausea, motion sickness, arthritis, migraines, etc. It is one of the best herbal remedies for plantar fascia as the herb helps in reducing the pain as well as the painful inflammation on and around your feet.

Take around 4 to 5 grams of ginger raw. Take the dose 3 to 4 times a day. If you cook it with curry, use more than the amount mentioned so that the effect remains same.

Willow

Willow is an essential herb. It is also known as White Willow and is used to cure back pain, osteoarthritis, headaches, etc. It also has anti-inflammatory properties which help reduce the inflammation.

Willow is one of the most consumed herbal remedies for plantar fascia as it is known as a natural pain reliever. Take 2 cups full of boiling water and boil 1 to 2 drops of willow juice in it. Drink this tea once or twice regularly.

Horsetail

Horsetail is also one of the best herbal remedies for plantar fascia, osteoporosis, brittle nails, rheumatoid arthritis, etc. It is very helpful in reducing the pain by getting rid of the inflammation in no time.

Take 1 to 2 grams of horsetail and mix it with a cup of clean water. Boil the mixture for 5 to 7 minutes and have the tea that comes from it. Do not be confused between horsetail and marsh horsetail. Marsh horsetail is just the opposite of horsetail so avoid that.

Calendula

Calendula is a widely used herb for several problems including wound healing, eczema, burns and it has anti-inflammatory properties which helps in the case of plantar fascia.

The herb is known for its ornamental marigolds. Take the herb as a tea. Pluck 1 to 2 tablespoons of Calendula flowers and boil them with a cup full of water. Let it boil for 10 to 15 minutes and then drink the tea once or twice a day.

Turmeric

Turmeric works as an antioxidant, and a food preservative. The herb is widely used to cure dyspepsia, ulcerative colitis, and some skin problems.

Turmeric is known to be a helpful herbal cure for problems like plantar fascia. It helps reduce the inflammation so that the pain is relieved. Take around 500 to 600 mg of turmeric regularly with food, water or pickles. Take the dose 2 to 3 times a day until the pain doesn’t stop.
