8 Herbal Treatment For Scabies
There are some of the following herbal treatments for scabies:
Onion
Onion skin is one of the effective herbal cure for scabies. Onion is rich in a compound called Quercertin that has a cooling and soothing effect. To use onion in scabies cure, you should boil six onions in a quart of water for about half an hour. When it has cooled down, rub its skin over the affected parts of the body.
MargosaÂ
It is an Indian origin herb and is quite effective against various skin ailments. You can easily apply margosa oil and massage deeply over the affected areas of the body. Margosa oil prevents bacteria and fungus trapped underneath the skin. You can also take bath with the Margosa leaves boiled in water.
Turmeric And NeemÂ
Both the herbs have antiseptic properties and thus they are use for scabies prevention. To make this emollient, you should mix 10 drops of clove oil, ½ cup of honey, ½ cup of water along with 1 cup of vegetable oil.Mix it vigorously and apply over the affected areas of the body. Rosemary And Tansy Skin WashÂ
You should prepare a concentrated tea of both the herbs by mixing 1 tablespoon of the both the dried herbs with 1 cup of water. Let it steep for at least 20 minutes and then strain. Allow it to cool and then wash the affected areas as often as three times a day. Washing during the bedtime is highly recommended. It also helps cure eczema and also prevent other secondary skin infections.
Aloe Vera And Peppermint
These herbs are rich in soothing and cooling agents, thus effective against itching, redness and rashes. Along with the above herbal cures of scabies, you should also take proper hygiene of your bedding, linens and clothes which should be washed daily and should not be shared with anyone.Also, disinfect the entire house.
