Sunburn is a typical symptom of over-exposure of the skin to the sun for long hours. When the skin is exposed to the harmful UV rays of the sun, it turns dark and red because the pigment melanin is unable to protect the skin from the sun. Sunburn can occur on any part of the body that is left exposed and specially vulnerable to the heat of the sun is the skin on the face.
Facial sunburn is not only painful but can also reduce our self esteem if the exposure leaves behind dark and burnt skin. Herbs can help treat facial sunburn effectively but you will have to be very regular and careful with the treatment.
