A verruca is nothing but a wart that occurs on the foot soles or sometimes around the toes. Initially a verruca looks like a dark, small, pierce mark but eventually it turns grey or brown in colour. The texture of a verruca is rough and bumpy; at times it gives a cauliflower like look. With a black spot in the middle, verruca can also bleed. A cluster of small warts with half an inch diameter can be categorized as verruca. The virus human papiloma virus (HPV) bring on erucca and is contagious with direct contact.
It’s said that when people do not keep their skin dry and clean, this virus leads to verruca. It can easily infect a person through cuts or wounds as well. Various Herbal Remedies For Verruca
Red Clover
Take about 1 cup of red clover blossoms. Take a jar containing hot water. Add the red clover blossoms and cover the jar with a lid. Let the mixture to steep for 5-10 hours. Strain the mixture and drink about 4 cups daily to keep the infection at bay.
Chill the remaining tea and make sure of consuming this tea within the next three to four days. Mint leaves can be added to enhance the taste. This tea should not be consumed by pregnant women.
Onion
This is one of the easiest herbal remedies for verruca. Take 1-2 onions and slice them into thin pieces. Sprinkle salt over these onion slices and keep them overnight.
Rub these slices gently over the entire affected areas at least 2 times daily until the warts disappear completely. You can also apply the juice of red onion on the warts. For best results, add a teaspoon of vinegar to the red onion juice. After a week or two, they would be gone.
Lemon
Lemon is a very effective herb for the treatment of various skin ailments like freckles and brown spots and of course Verruca . Lemon juice is mildly acidic in nature and has skin lightening properties that can cure the warts effectively.
Take few teaspoons of fresh lemon juice and apply this juice on the affected area with the help of your finger tips. Massage gently for 15-20 minutes. Rinse using warm water. You can also mix sugar to lemon juice and apply this on the affected area using a soft brush.
Garlic
Garlic is a natural antimicrobial herb. It is used for the treatment of various diseases. Make a paste by crushing few cloves of garlic with a little water. Apply that paste on the rashes generously and let it dry.
Rinse them using cold water. You can also eat a clove of raw garlic every morning to keep boost your immune system. Garlic capsules are also useful. You can also apply onion and garlic juice on the warts 2 times daily.
Aloe Vera
Aloe vera is used for the treatment of numerous skin diseases. It contains anti inflammatory properties and is known to soothe the skin. So, aloe vera can be used to reduce the soreness and hardness disappears.
Also, aloe vera prevents the growth of germs on the affected areas. Take an aloe vera leaf and scoop out the gel using a spoon. Apply this gel gently on the affected areas two times daily for about a week to get desired results.
