Various Treatments For Eye Allergies
Calendula Flower
Calendula (Marigold) is a deep orange flower with yellow petals and said to contain magical powers and healing virtues. Calendula is a favorite herb or herbalists for reducing inflammation as it has antifungal, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties.
To cure eye infections like red, itchy, burning and watery eyes, take fresh calendula petals and infuse them in boiling water. Bring this water to room temperature and use it to wash your eyes 3-4 times.
Prunella
Prunella (self-heal) is said to contain excellent qualities of antifungal, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory herb. The dried leaves of Prunella have enough antibiotic and antiseptic effect to cure eye allergies, conjunctivitis, and sties.
Use the infusion in a sterile eyewash, or apply as a cool compress. Repeat this procedure 3-4 times a day to get relief from itching and discomfort caused due to eye allergy.
Chamomile
Chamomile is a soothing anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, anti-fungal herb, which is very useful for the treatment of eye infections too. Chamomile contains a substance called ‘azulene’ which reduces redness and inflammation of eyes with the help of anti-microbial volatile oils.

Fennel Seed
Fennel seed (anise) is used since ancient times to treat eye related problems and has been proved to be a very effective herb on eye allergies. Fennel is rich in volatile oils containing anti-microbial properties, therefore working amazingly on eye inflammation and infection.
Take a tablespoon of fennel seeds and infuse them in boiling water for 4-5 minutes. Bring this water to room temperature and use it to wash your eyes 3-4 times to get relief from itching eyes.
Plantain
Plantain also contains anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory properties and is a soothing herb for itching eyes. Simply washing your eyes with Plantain eyewash can make your eyes feel better and in turn giving you comfort from irritation of eyes.
