Cardamom

The role played by cardamom in treating depression in children is immense. Cardamom has proved to be very beneficial and valuable in treating this condition.

Take a few cardamom seeds, grind it to make it into a powder form and add this to water, boil it, and prepare a tea. The aroma of cardamom gives the tea a great taste and acts as a healing agent in treating child depression. This aroma has the curative quality and is a great way to treat minor cases of depression.

Apple

Apple is an effective home remedy for treating depression in children. Consuming apples with a few drops of honey and milk has been found to be extremely beneficial in treating this condition in children. This combination is known to act effectively on the nerves as a tonic and helps in recharging the nerves and boosting the energy and life.

Cashew Nuts

Commonly referred to as kaju in India is yet another great home remedy to treat child depression. Cashews are known to be rich in vitamin B, specifically the vitamin thiamine and hence it is very beneficial in enhancing the nervous system of the child. It is also enriched with Riboflavin, which helps in keeping the body active, happy and very energetic.

Saffron And Bishop’s Weed

The Indian term for this is kesar and ajwain . This is an excellent and effective home remedy for child depression. All you need to do is take about quarter teaspoons of both saffron and bishop’s weed, add this to water, and allow it to boil for a few minutes. Then filter this solution and include a little jiggery to add a touch of sweetness to it. Give this concoction to the child to drink while it is warm.

Salt Water Bath

It is believed by many people that salt water helps in making you feeling good. For a salt-water bath all you need to do is add one or two cups of salt to the water you have set for a bath and bathe your child with it. You can also use salt and give your child’s body a friction-rub. Otherwise, you can take a piece of wet cloth, dip it in salt, and gently rub your child’s body with it. Doing this is known to enhance circulation of blood and helps in elevating you child’s mood.
