Earaches of any kind are extremely uncomfortable and if not treated immediately it can worsen within a few days. So the next time your ear aches due to an infection or blockage or increased ear pressure, you can simply check into few of the below-mentioned earache solutions to treat it.

White Vinegar

Treatment of earache is possible with white vinegar. Dilute a small amount of white vinegar with warm water and use this solution to rinse off the infected ear canal.After five minutes of the application, let the ear drain off and this helps in decreasing any swelling in the ear canal that can cause earache. But in case you are going through another ear treatment or have a hole in the eardrum then refrain from using this solution.


Cold/Heat Compress

One of the most effective treatments is to apply cold or hot compresses on the affected ear. Keep the compress on for approximately 20 minutes and this can ease the discomfort. If you are unable to find a heating pad, then you can use hot water bottle for the earache compress.


Chew Gum

The easiest and the simplest solution is to a chew gum if and when one experiences earache. In most cases, earaches occur when there is a change in air pressure suddenly and the best solution is to chew gum which can activate the muscle and help in air circulation into the ear.


Change Sleeping Position

Earache can also be treated by changing the sleeping position. So, sleep upright and help in releasing the air pressure around the ear.


Remove Earwax

While experiencing earache, the first step is to remove earwax buildup. There are innumerable over-the-counter medications or through a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water.


Garlic Oil

Make an ear treatment solution using crushed garlic. Add a few drops of olive oil and let it stand for approximately 12 hours. Use this solution through a dropper into the painful ear. You can also warm the oil mixture by placing it into a pan of warm water. Next, let it cool and then put it into the ear.


Nasal Sprays

Treatment of earaches can also be possible with medicated nasal sprays or nasal drops. These act as a nasal congestion reliever and can make your ears feel better. Hence, eliminate nasal congestion to treat an aching ear.


Olive Oil

Infected ear can also be treated using warm olive oil. Use a dropper to drop olive oil into the ear and this will instantly minimize the pain from an infected or injured ear. While using this home remedy, make sure that you use body-temperature oil. For best results, follow it up with warm water compress.
