Eyes are most sensitive part of our body that needs proper care. Eye infections are very painful and can cause eye redness, swollen eyes and itching. These are some home remedies that will provide relief from this infection.
Take two tea bags and dip them in cold water. After some time, squeeze out extra water from the bags and place them on your eyelids. This will provide a great relief from irritation and also helps in removing eye redness. Repeat it 3-4 times in a day.
Cucumber is a natural coolant that will soothe you. Take two slices of chilled cucumber and place them on your eyelids for about 15 minutes.

Aloe Vera is very good for the eyes. Take some aloe gel on a clean cotton cloth. Place this cloth on your eyelids for 10 minutes. You can feel the difference in eye redness and itching.
Warm some guava leaves and put it on a damp warm cloth. This is a very good hot compress for the swollen eyes. Give this compress for five minutes and repeat if necessary. Remember, guava leaves should not get burnt.

You can make a very good eye wash solution at home using honey. Put two spoons of honey in a glass of warm water. Wash your eyes thoroughly with this water. This will cleanse your eyes and provide relief from redness and inflammation.
Take some strawberry leaves and put them in a glass of boiling water. Let it boil for five minutes. Cool down the solution. This is a very good eye wash and helps in reducing redness and inflammation. You can wash eyes several time in a day with this water.
Rose water provides relief from eye redness and provides cooling sensation as well. Put one drop of rose water in both of your eyes three times a day. This is very good for eye-sight as well. Another thing you can do is put cotton balls dipped in rose water on your eyelids for 10 minutes. This will also help in reducing itching and provides relief.
Take about 10 jasmine flowers and put them in a jar of distilled water and let it stay overnight. This solution is a very good eye drops to reduce redness and itching. Put one drop in each eye three times a day.
Do this for five days for better results. This will help a lot and provide relief from inflammation.
