5 Home Remedies For Leucoderma

Leucoderma
is a medical term used for a particular type of skin disease, that causes skin pigmentation decreasing and as a result white patches appears on various parts of the skin. It is also known as Vitiligo. It affects various parts of the body but not whole body. It can be seen in scalp, hands, lips, face, arms, feet and some other body part.

Lecoderma or vitiligo can be caused by various reasons like long time exposure to sun, mental stress, certain injuries or cuts on body, some chronic disease like jaundice and some other.Leucoderma is not a disease that transmits from one person to other, the various symptoms can be clearly seen by white patches either small or big on the affected person’s body. Although various medications are available for leucoderma, but these medications are not very effective and can’t cure leucoderma fully. Some home remedies can also be used for treatment of leucoderma.

5 Effective Remedies For Leucoderma

Mustard Oil

Mustard oil is another home remedy that is proved to be very effective in treatment of leucoderma. Mustard oil antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties, it is also a natural germ killer and prevents toxicities.You can apply mustered oil directly on the affected area and leave it for 1-2 hours. Another method is by making paste of mustard oil with ginger or garlic or basil extracts or with turmeric. Apply this paste twice daily over the affected area and take bath after 1-2 hours.

Heena Seeds

Heena is very useful against leucoderma, it is not widely known method but it is a proven home remedy for minimizing white patches of leucoderma. For using first take the menhdi seeds and let them dry completely.

When dried fully, make powder of these seeds. You can now use the powder by making paste with mustered oil. Apply this paste every morning and after 1-2 hr take bath. This will definitely help you in minimizing the patches.

Ginger Or Garlic

Ginger or garlic have many medicinal capabilities that makes both of them very useful in a number of skin related problems. They have antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, anti-inflammatory properties and hence provide a very effective counter measure for many skin and other body problems including leucoderma.You can apply ginger or garlic directly over the affected area or you can add some mustered oil for making paste to apply over the affected area. Let the paste dry through sun rays so sit for half an hr in mild sun light and then take bath.

Red Clay

It is a widely known remedy for leucoderma or vitiligo, and was tested by various individuals all over the world. Red clay is generally found near water bodies and it has copper in it.

Copper is also considered as an effective remedy for leucoderma and often suggested to drink water from copper bowl or glass. For using red clay in leucoderma make paste with clay and ginger juice or you can add mustered oil in it too for making paste. Apply this paste for 1-2 hr over the affected are and then take bath. It will heal your leucoderma gradually.

Peanut

This is also an effective remedy for treating leucoderma. Peanut contains various useful vitamins and mineral along with zinc, magnesium, potassium and copper.It can be used in various medical problems along with leucoderma. Eating peanuts daily is useful against leucoderma. You can also make paste of peanuts with little water or almond oil and apply over the affected area. It will heal leucoderma gradually.
