Home Remedies For Leucorrhoea

Leucorrhoea is a condition that affects the vagina of women. It is called as whites due to the excess white discharge. This discharge is pale white in color without any odor, but the color may vary depending on the condition. This white discharge actually helps protect the internal organs by restricting the bacteria from entering into the body. Leucorrhoea occurs due to unhygienic conditions, microbes, any injury, or due to intra-uterine contraceptive device.

The major symptom is excess vaginal discharge. It causes pain in the lower abdomen, calf muscles and thighs. There may be frequent urine discharge, irritation and burning in the genital tract. It may cause discomfort and low concentration on work because of excess white discharge. General fatigue is observed in many women suffering from this condition.This condition is treatable and there are several home remedies available for getting a relief from this.


Effective Remedies For Leucorrhoea

Fenugreek Seeds

Take two -three tablespoons of fenugreek seeds and soak them in one-liter water. Heat this for 30 minutes on low flame to make a decoction. Strain this mixture and drink it every day in the morning.

You can use this water to wash the vaginal area too. Wash it three to four times a day. It comforts the skin and the mucous membrane. It helps reduce pain, irritation and swelling. This is helpful in curing leucorrhoea.


Rice Water

While cooking rice, do not discard the excess water. Instead, strain the excess water, add some sugar to it, and drink this solution at least one time a day. This liquid is very useful in treating leucorrhea. Jamun seed powder can be added to this water for best results.


Coriander Seeds

Take one tablespoon of coriander seeds and soak them overnight in a tumbler of water. Drink this water early morning every day. Continue doing this for one week for good results.

This is an effective treatment for leucorrhea. You will notice visible results in seven or eight days. This solution also detoxifies the body.


Guava Leaves

Take a few fresh guava leaves and wash them thoroughly. Boil them in water of about one liter until it reduces to half. Make a douche using the boiled leaves and apply this on the infected area. This acts as an astringent and gives beneficial effect. It soothes the skin and reduces discharge.


Lady’s Finger

Take 250g of lady’s finger and soak it in one liter water. Boil this for 30 minutes to get a decoction and strain the mixture. Add some sugar to this strained solution and drink it every three hours. This can help reduce white discharge and treats leucorrhea effectively.


Mango

Take two ripe mangoes and pulp them. Apply this mango pulp to the vaginal area. It helps in reducing irritation and itching in the vagina. Mango seeds are an effective remedy to treat leucorrhea. In addition, decorticated kernel paste can be applied inside the vagina.

Neem

Neem is useful in treating various infections. It has antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory effects. Add a few drops of neem oil to cow’s milk and drink it before going to bed to get relief from leucorrhea. The bark extract of neem tree can be blended with cumin seeds (white cumin) and taken daily for treating this condition.
