Vitamin B6

Meditation and Yoga

Mood swings and depression can be easily eliminated with regular meditation sessions and yoga. Reduce Sodium

Reduce Caffeine and Alcohol

PMS can also be treated by cutting back the consumption of caffeine and alcohol. These components are known to trigger PMS symptoms; hence, cutting back the amount of caffeine and alcohol intake is a good idea. While moderate intake of caffeine and alcohol is not harmful; having it in excess can worsen the PMS condition.


Omega-6 Fatty Acids

Treatment of PMS is also possible with omega-6 fatty acid rich products such as soybean oil, nuts, leafy vegetables, and corn oil. These help in reducing depression and emotional irritability, two common symptoms of PMS.


Magnesium-Rich Food Sources

Women suffering from PMS can also include food products that are rich in magnesium in their daily diet to treat the condition. Magnesium keeps the immune system of the patient and treats lethargy and nausea that can often lead to PMS.

Few of the best sources of magnesium that can be included in the diet are soybeans, yogurt, cashews, peanuts, potatoes, cereals, and almonds. Consuming these on a daily basis can treat PMS effectively.
