Tea Tree Oil

Red acne is caused by bacteria and the antibacterial properties in the tea tree oil can help in the treatment process. To treat the acne, one can use the oil on a daily basis; this helps in treating the existing red acne and also helps in preventing further breakouts.


Zinc-Rich Food

Zinc is known to boost the immune system and when one notices the symptoms of red acne breakout one can increase the intake of zinc-rich food. Few of the best food sources that can be included in your daily diet are eggs, nuts, whole grains, and mushroom.


Omega-3 Fatty Acids

Increasing food items that are rich in omega-3 fatty acids can help in containing the acne breakout. Most of these food items contain anti-inflammatory properties, which help in treating acne condition.


Avoid Oil-Based Products

Minimize the usage of heavy and oil-based products such as make-up, sunscreen, and moisturizers to treat red acne. Using oil-based products clogs the pores and leads to red acne; hence, stop using it instead use oil-free or natural oil products on the skin.


Drink Water

Make sure that you drink at least eight-oz. glasses of water on a daily basis to jeep the skin healthy and moisturized. Also, water can help in preventing the skin from drying and also flushes out the toxins from the system.


Lemon Juice

Containing high amounts of citric acid, lemon juice works well as an acne treatment. The juice flushes out dead skin; hence, apply the lemon juice on a daily basis every morning and evening.

After application, let it rest for 10 minutes before washing it off with warm water. Done on a weekly basis will dry the red acne and eliminate the appearance of the acne spots.


Toothpaste

One of the oldest red acne remedy is to apply toothpaste. While choosing to apply paste, make sure that you do not use gels. Apply the paste onto the acne spot and leave it on for 30 minutes before washing it off. Do not keep it on for more than half-an-hour as this can cause excessive dryness.


Ginger Paste

Treatment of red acne is possible with a paste made from ginger powder and milk. Apply this paste onto the affected red acne spots. Containing high levels of anti-inflammatory properties, this paste can be directly applied onto the acne spots. Application can be done on a daily basis to achieve the desired results.
