Mix equal parts of turmeric powder and tomato puree with some lemon juice to prepare a paste. Apply it just below your eyes and leave it to dry for one hour. Tamarind powder can also be used in place of turmeric.
Cucumber Slices
Place one cucumber slice on each eye and leave it for half an hour. Repeat this remedy 3-4 times a day. Cucumber brings very soothing effects to dry, tired and strained eyes. It stimulates the tear glands and helps in normalizing the moisture in your eyes.
Lavender Oil
Mix two to three drops of lavender oil in a bowl of warm water.
Soak a couple of cotton balls in it and place them on your closed eyes. The vapor produced by it over the skin of your eyes helps in preventing evaporation of tears and in improving the moisture of ocular surface.
Warm Washcloth
Soak a clean, soft towel in warm water. Ring it to remove excess water. Put it over your eyes and hold it for 4-5 minutes. When it cools down, soak it again in warm water and repeat the remedy. Blinking Exercise
The simplest yet very effective way to cure dry eyes naturally is to blink continuously for a few minutes, several times a day. You can use this blinking exercise anytime and anywhere, whether you are at work or at home. Frequent blinking helps in faster spread of tears in the eyes that relieves dryness.
Use Humidifiers
Lack of moisture in your room can also cause dry eyes. Though there is nothing much you can do about it while you are at work. But, you should use humidifiers at least in your bedroom to heal dry eyes while you are asleep. Do it regularly. It will get you great relief within a week.
