Vitamins

Chronic fatigue syndrome can be treated with the intake of vitamins. Vitamin A and vitamin C can strengthen the immune system. Lack of red blood cells may result in this problem.

Intake of vitamin A can help in increasing the production of red blood cells. Good sources of vitamin A and vitamin C include spinach, sweet potato, papaya, cauliflower, broccoli, kiwi, carrot and so on. Consumption of vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 rich fruits and vegetables may also provide relief.

Yoga/Exercise and Meditation

Yoga can also be used in the treatment. Practicing gentle yoga poses can improve the functioning of the immune and nervous system. Breathing exercises are also recommended. Stress can be reduced with the help of meditation.

Essential Oils

The use of essential oils such as jasmine, marjoram, lavender, rosemary and geranium can enhance the mood, reduce muscle pain and boost the immune system.

These oils can be used to massage the body. A few drops of any essential oil can be added to a bucket of warm water to be used for bathing. Inhaling the aroma of lemon or orange oil can refresh the mind. The use of geranium, rosemary or lavender oil can help in relieving stress or anxiety.

Ginger

Fresh ginger (grated) can be consumed before each meal to deal with the problem. A few drops of lemon juice and salt can also be added to the grated ginger. Intake of tea made by boiling ginger root in water on a frequent basis can provide effective results. Consumption of food items prepared with the use of ginger is also recommended.

Ginseng

Various symptoms associated with chronic fatigue syndrome can be treated with the regular use of ginseng.

Consumption of ginseng tea several times in a day can provide relief. A combination of ginseng and basil can also be used.

Cinnamon and Honey

Cinnamon powder (1/4th teaspoon) and honey (1 tablespoon) can be added to a glass of water and consumed 2 to 3 times in a day. A mixture of honey (2 teaspoons) and cinnamon powder (half teaspoon) can also be consumed with a glass of warm milk on a daily basis to obtain relief.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera contains amino acids, vitamins and enzymes which can help in the treatment of the problem. It is advisable to take aloe vera juice (1/4th cup) on a daily basis.
