Natural Cures For Hemolytic Anemia

Hemolytic anemia is a type of anemia where the red blood cells breakdown abnormally either in the ‘blood-vessels’ or elsewhere in the body. These red blood cells have 120 day cycle and they help in providing oxygen to the tissues. In hemolytic anemia the life cycle of the red blood cells become less because of the destruction happening. This frequently happens when the red blood cells being destroyed cannot be replaced by the bone marrow. Some of the symptoms of this ailment include tiredness, breathlessness, jaundice in a few, gallstones and pulmonary hypertension caused by the breakdown of the red blood cells.

Hemolytic anemia are of two types, Intrinsic and extrinsic. Intrinsic is when this condition occurs genetically or inherited found at the time of birth itself. Extrinsic is when the immune system has a problem or when the blood clots in a smaller vessel of the blood or it could be the consequence of some medication or infection. The symptoms slowly develop and can range between mild to severe. A few natural cures for hemolytic anemia are discussed below.

Natural Cures For Hemolytic Anaemia

Spinach

Leafy vegetables or greens are filled with folic acid and iron. Spinach contains iron (3.2 mg) and folic acid (130 mcg) in just half a cup of it. This wonder greens is an excellent way to cure hemolytic anemia and consuming this vegetable on a daily basis is very beneficial in achieving great results.

Beets

Beets are enriched with folic acid and other nutrients like potassium and fiber. It is best to prepare beet using the microwave. Ensure the skin is intact while cooking and peeled off while eating. The most nutrition-filled part in beet is exactly under the skin. This is a great cure for anemia.

Sunlight

Sunlight is very effective in the treatment of hemolytic anemia, especially the early morning rays. Sunlight has the property of enhancing the production of red blood cells.

 It is also known to eliminate the toxins from the body and increases immunity. It is recommended to expose to early morning sun rays for at least half an hour every day to get better results in the treatment of hemolytic anemia.

Sesame

Soak a tablespoon of sesame seeds in water for about two hours. Then grind the sesame seeds once it’s soft to make it into a fine paste. Add 2 teaspoons of honey to this paste to add a touch of sweetness to it.

Consume this blend two times every day. Sesame seeds are known to be very effectual in treating hemolytic anemia because it helps in increasing the production of RBC and also prevents the cells from premature destruction.

Lemon And Honey

A combination of Lemon with honey is known to be very effective in the treatment of hemolytic anemia. Mix a few drops of honey with some lime juice and drink it every day. The blend of this duo is known to be beneficial as it boosts the iron absorption in the body.

Body Massage

Body massage is a great way to ease muscles, relax and feel rejuvenated. Not only the massages help us relax, but it is also an excellent remedy for hemolytic anemia.

It enhances the circulation of blood and it helps in preventing any symptoms with regards to anemia. Besides the body massage, cold-water baths also help in treating hemolytic anemia.
