Monthly bleeding for every woman is very natural and painful. Few can bear the pain and for some it becomes unbearable. With the shedding of inner uterus lining and the sperm not being there for the fertilization of the egg, the contraction experienced by the women is very painful and this is indeed very important for a proper cleaning of the organ and most importantly being a part of making babies.

The pain starts a day before the periods begin and continues for a span of seventy two hours approximately. Due to extreme contractions the blood vessels get pressed and it cuts off the supply of oxygen. There are various home-made or natural cures which can be followed regularly to help us subside the pain and they are as follows: –

Exercising A Little

To erase extreme cramps workouts like yoga, pilates etc. should be done in a light manner. Light floor exercises like lying down and rising legs by placing a pillow under the knees or to relieve the pressure for the back the legs should be brought up to the chest. A light walking for about twenty minutes makes a person overcome the pain.

Usage Of Heat Pads And Hot Water Bags

Placing of heat pads or hot water bags on the back makes a person rid of pain or discomfort due to menstrual cramps. An another alternative for heating pad is that flaxseeds should be filled in the sock and should be heated in the microwave for about one to two minutes. A bath should be taken with essential oils which should be first soaked in hot water.

Sipping The Roots Of The Ginger

The roots of the ginger act as an instant and a soothing medicine for the cramps. Boil the roots of the ginger plant for about fifteen minutes and with an addition of some honey to the mixture the tea should be sipped.

Multi-Vitamin Meal

Fresh fruits and salads should be taken in a good quantity. Heavy food like oily and spicy food, sugary and jaggery products etc should all be avoided. For reducing the pain of menstrual cramps an intake of minerals like calcium (800mg) is very important. An absorption of calcium through an increase of magnesium in the body is recommended. Vitamin B and other food products rich in iron etc is all recommendatory.

Medications

Pills are very effective in reducing cramps since drugs like aspirin etc. help in reducing the synergy of chemicals like prostaglandins. These drugs can be consumed from the beginning of cramps and should be continued till the time the cramps subside.

Giving Up Of Caffeine

To reduce severe cramps giving up caffeine for few days is a recommendatory suggestion. For a few days coffee, teas and colas should all be avoided.

A Sexual Intercourse

The jammed organs help with a proper flow of blood due to the movements which are continuously repeated in producing an orgasm. At the end it is much more relieving and stress free than painful.
