Rest

Extra pressure on the wrists/elbow area can increase the problem. Therefore, taking proper rest is essential for obtaining relief from the symptoms such as pain and swelling.

Vitamins

Vitamin E can help in reducing the swelling. Further, consumption of vitamin E rich food items may also help in repairing the damaged tissues and tendons of the elbow area.

Intake of vitamin C rich food items on a daily basis can provide quick relief. Good sources of vitamin E and vitamin C include strawberry, peas, broccoli, nuts, sprouts, tomato, avocado, olive oil and so on.

Exercise

Wrist stretching exercise can relieve the pain. It is advisable to hold the stretch for 10 to 15 seconds and repeat this exercise several times in a day. A rubber band can be stretched with the help of fingers to obtain the desired results. Practicing ball squeezing exercise may also help in alleviating the symptoms associated with this problem.

Ice

An ice pack created by putting ice cubes in a plastic bag can be wrapped in a towel and placed on the affected elbow for 15 to 20 minutes to reduce the pain. This process should be repeated 4 to 5 times in a day.

Turmeric

Turmeric is another effective natural remedy. Intake of a glass of lukewarm milk containing turmeric powder (1 teaspoon) before sleeping can provide relief from tennis elbow.

A poultice can be created by mixing turmeric powder with water and applied on the affected elbow and forearm to obtain the desired results.
