Cold Compress

Take a bag made of cotton and put few pieces of ice into it. Tie the bag using a string. Press this bag on the affected tooth to get relief from the pain as well as the swelling.

You can also apply this cold compress from outside that is over the cheeks to reduce the swelling. Apply this compress for about 30 minutes. Repeat this procedure several times a day or as many times you feel the pain.

Gargle With Saline Water

Take a glass of lukewarm water and add a pinch of salt. Gargle with this water four to five times a day. The warmness of the water soothes the oral cavity while the salt acts on the infected tooth as an antiseptic.

Spit out the blood and pus and make sure of not swallowing it. This natural treatment for abscessed tooth is really effective and can give relief from the pain by killing the germs and preventing any kind of further infection.

Baking Soda

If you want your tooth abscess to erupt, follow this procedure. Make use of cotton swab. Dip the cotton swab in a mixture of baking soda and salt. Wipe your gum line with this cotton swab and press hard on the abscessed tooth.

 This might hurt initially buy slowly the pain will go away. Spit out the pus and gargle using lukewarm water to clean your mouth. You can also use a sterile needle if the cotton swab does not work.

Teabag

Take an unused teabag and sprinkle salt all over it. Place this teabag by the side of the affected tooth that is inside your mouth for about 2 hours. This would help in removing the germs and eventually the pain will subside.

You can also use a mouth wash that contains tea tree oil. Use this mouth wash at least five to six times daily to cure abscessed tooth. Tea tree oil is a naturally antiseptic in nature.

Garlic Or Lime

Crush 3-4 garlic cloves and add rock salt and massage this on the affected tooth. Also add garlic in your daily diet to keep your teeth and gums strong. Garlic contains allicin which is antibacterial in nature and hence prevents tooth infection and hence tooth abscess.

This will also reduce the pain and swelling. You can also take garlic capsules instead. Chewing a piece of lemon with its skin can also be helpful. These were few of the natural treatments for abscessed tooth. You can also use clove oil for getting relief.
