Acne scars are caused due to improper care of acne or pimples. Picking and pinching of pimples can cause them to rupture and they take a long time to get properly healed. Natural Treatment for Acne Scars
Natural Facial Cleanser
Daily cleansing of your face is very important to maintain a clean and healthy skin. It removes dirt and grime from the skin, thus helps you to deal with acne scars effectively. You should use a facial cleanser instead of soap to wash your face as it prevents skin breaking and dryness on the face. Make facial cleanser at home with natural ingredients as it is gentle on the skin.
Mix together 2 table spoons of mint juice, one table spoon basil juice and one tea spoon lemon juice. Apply it on your face with a cotton swab and leave it on till dry. Afterwards rinse it off with normal water. Use the cleanser twice a day to treat acne scars.
Mix together one table spoon tomato juice, two table spoons potato juice and one table spoon cucumber juice. Apply it on your face as mentioned above. Potato has bleaching properties and it lightens and reduces acne scars considerably. Cucumber and tomato help to tighten the pores and improve skin tone.
Natural Face Scrub
Facial scrub stimulates blood circulation and it helps to deep cleanse the pores. Facial scrub reduces acne scars and regular use of a natural facial scrub helps to remove the scars.
Mix together two tea spoons milk powder, one tea spoon almond powder and ¼ tea spoon camphor powder. Make a paste with cold milk. Moisten your face and apply the scrub, scrub it in circular motions for 1-2 minutes. Avoid rubbing the scrub too hard. Wash your face with normal water thoroughly.
Take two tea spoons walnut powder, two tea spoons mayonnaise and a few drops of olive oil. Mix well and apply on a moist face, scrub gently for 2-3 minutes and wash your face with normal water. Walnut deep cleanses the pores and mayonnaise helps to soften and lighten the skin tone. Use this scrub at night for better results.
Natural Facial Masks
Facial mask helps to remove acne scars by penetrating deep in to the skin. It rejuvenates the skin tissues and makes your skin clear and smooth.
Take 50 grams juice of green grapes, ½ tea spoon alum powder and ½ tea spoon of common salt. Mix it well till alum powder and salt are completely dissolved. Cover your face with this facial mask and rinse it off after 15 -20 minutes. Green grapes have acidic content which helps to reduce acne scars, alum and salt lightens skin tone and makes the scars less visible. Apply this facial mask once a week to treat acne scars.
Grind a handful of fenugreek leaves to make a paste and apply it on your face for 10-15 minutes. Wash it off with normal water. Fenugreek has a soothing effect on the skin. It reduces acne scars and helps you to maintain a youthful skin.
Massage
Massage your face with almond oil as it contains vitamin E, which helps to treat acne scars and it improves the texture of your skin. Leave the oil for 10-15 minutes on your face and afterwards wipe it off with a moist cotton swab.
Essential oils are also very effective for treating acne scars. You can mix a few drops of tea tree oil, sandalwood essential oil or rosehip oil in carrier oil like olive oil or coconut oil and use it to massage your face to remove acne scars.
Steaming
Steam your face to stimulate blood circulation and for deep cleansing the pores. Do steaming after cleansing your face and before applying the face mask. It will help the mask to work better for treating acne scars.
Eat a Healthy Diet
Along with external skin care, eating a healthy well balanced diet is a vital part of natural treatment for acne scars. You should include raw vegetables like carrot, cucumber, radish, beetroot, tomato and cabbage etc. in your daily diet as they contain vitamin A, E, C and B which are essential vitamins for the skin. These food items help to give you a clear and healthy skin by reducing acne scars.
Nuts like almonds, dried apricots, dried figs and sultanas are also recommended for treating acne scars. Dry fruits regenerate new skin cells and help to repair skin tissues. Eat a handful of mixed nuts after your meals once or twice a day.
