Potassium Citrate

Potassium citrate is as well a natural home remedy to heal interstitial cystitis as it increases the level of alkaline pH in the human body.

Take 400 mg potassium citrate thrice in a day that will prevent the fungal growth and destroy the germs.


Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar cures most of the diseases due to its anti fungal and anti-bacterial characteristics. First, prepare a mixture that contains two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar, one-fourth teaspoon borax and one-eighth teaspoon of baking soda.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is also a natural home remedy to treat the frequent urination. Taking two capsules three times a day will provide optimum results. Aloe Vera can also be taken in juice form to get a relief from pain during urination.


Marshmallow Root

Marshmallow root is one of the effective home remedies to treat interstitial cystitis. Put some marshmallow roots in pure water and allow it to boil for 20 minutes.

Filter the solution and drink as tea two times a day to reduce the effect pain during urination. It also relaxes particular muscles of the abdomen.


Hydrogen Peroxide Douche

Hydrogen peroxide reduces the pain during urination to a great extent. Mix adequate quantity of hydrogen peroxide douche with an equal amount of apple cider vinegar and drink the mixture two times a day. Care should be taken not to drink this solution when going to bed as it spoils the nights sleep. Taking this solution for two weeks will provide optimum results.


Baking Soda

Baking soda is an excellent home supplement to reduce pain during urination. This is the perfect medicine to treat the infection. Mix one-fourth teaspoon of baking soda and an adequate amount of warm water.

Drinking this solution two times a day will reduce the pain to a great extent.

  • Do you really mean borax--like I put in with my laundry, or boric acid? Its not a good idea to ingest either of those, but I have heard of boric acid suppositories for yeast and candida overgrowth. And I do not get what this is saying about drinking a "hydrogen peroxide douche". A couple good ideas, but I think this article needs a bit more research...
